Yet we still lost to Ole Miss' JV team.

i don't think so Tim, pretty sure they were well and i mean well out of the top 25, not gonna let you slip that one in.

Stats cover up a lot of warts and don't tell the whole story. I agree it's not as bad as some think, but there are philosophical problems with our approach to the games and season that aren't reflected in the stats. That comes from the head coach and the head coordinators.

LSU should put up at least 60-70 points on A&M. Vandy put up 24 Points and did not even have a QB!

If Miles plays this game offensively close to the vest, that is going to tell you everything you need to know about him and there should be no further discussion about it.

I dunno, I think the D is as bad as we think. It's really bad. I got to think back to Lou Tepper to compare. At least 2008 could sack a QB once in a while and could tackle a RB. This D here would never be able to stop a running team like GT.

It's weird, though. LSU is in a 3-way tie for second place in the SEC in sacks.

ETA: But, that will change. We have played one more game than the rest of those teams.

The defense is awful. But, LSIu has played Alabama well I therecent past so maybe Les has a miracle or two left

UAB, Kent St, Furman and Florida have blown these numbers up. Ive seen what ive seen, against good competition our Defense isnt good.

And that's the truth of the matter, but at least Alabama's D isn't that good either. Sure, they are number 1 in points against, but they have played some really bad offenses as of late.

Not that I'm disagreeing with your post, but Kent St is apparently #61. Definitely not world beaters, but not exactly sisters of the poor either.

They've beaten Liberty and Western Michigan. Lost to Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, Ball St and South Alabama. They may be #61, but they aren't exactly playing the type of quality that would make it a legit 61.

Heres my issue. Bama's D isnt that good based on past expectations of their D, they are still a better D than ours.

Anyone defending the defense is an idiot and can be dismissed. Alabama is a better team but Miles has outcoached Saban in the past LSU's chances are..

1) New wrinkles in the offense. Every team has caught on to Hill up the middle, Mett to OBJ deep or Landry across the middle. We were told this offense could do so much more, but it is stagnant. Not gonna beat Alabama doing what they've done because they will lock down OBJ and Landry, send the kitchen sink at Mett and stuff Hill.

2) Harrass the hell out of McCarron and force him into bad choices. Didn't do this with Murray and it cost the team a loss.

LSU has a shot but if they play the first half like they have the past couple weeks, it's going to be a shocker to the fan base.

Nothing since the UGA loss has led me to believe we will do it against McCarron.

I agree, but in two weeks time maybe something changes. Remember, last year we expected Bama to roll and the offense showed up, and McCarron looked human.

I don't expect an LSU win, just listing reasons why I think it possibly could happen. LSU's young corners will have to grow up in 2 weeks though.
