Not that it matters but sunset is at 4:52 PM local time in Tuscaloosa on November 9.

With all the CBS commercials, that will be early in the 3rd quarter.

I'm wondering this as well, maybe negotiations with ESPN to make it a primetime game broke down

there were no negotiations, if there were they would not give up 3 weeks before kickoff

2011 was a fluke deal, there was never "negotiations" most likely, that was only a fans that assumed that they would

I’m glad it’s at 2:30pm. But cbs really missed this one. Ratings would’ve doubled uga vs notre dame.
9 million watched uga vs notre dame. Those numbers didn’t top LSU vs bama 2018 11.54 million viewers! Just imagine #1 vs # 2 last time that happened in prime time almost 20 million viewers!

Ah well, it’s their money. 2:30 is fine for beer at my local tavern.

I care less about the 2:30 kickoff than I do having to listen to GARY for three straight weeks.

It doesn’t really matter what time the game is played. Saban has special way during the buy week to get his team extra motivated when they play LSU. Him and his staff already have a game plan in place to see what we do and how we doi it....o has the same chance but can he get out of his players what Saban can his.......
