LSU -4

These two teams are heading in opposite directions as LSU comes into the contest riding a six game winning steak meanwhile Arkansas has lost five straight games. During the first meeting in Baton Rouge, LSU jumped out to a big first half lead only to see Arkansas storm back and make it a very tight game down the stretch. Bud Walton is a very tough place to play and you can bet they will be ready when LSU comes to town. Although it may seem like years ago, Arkansas has defeated two highly ranked teams in Oklahoma and Texas. Bo Spencer will be out with an ankle injury for a second consecutive game forcing Martin into the starting lineup. The major drawback of Martin starting is that it leaves very little if any scoring punch coming off the bench. Arkansas will be regaining a key component in freshman point guard Courtney Fortson who is coming off an indefinite suspension that lasted only one game. I was worried about this game before SEC play even started and that hasn't changed a bit. LSU has shown little fear on the road as of late as they boast a 4-1 road record in the SEC. With tipoff just over 3 hours away, how do you see this game turning out?

How the F is Arky 12 and 1 outside the SEC? They have some key guys go down or something?

Believe it or not, injuries haven't played a significant role in their downfall. Coming into SEC play, many were touting them as the new frontrunner in the West considering what they did against OU and UT. I'm still not sure what really happened to this team. They started off SEC play in a funk and they just haven't been able to come out of it.

Not at all. I can't even commit to a prediction in this one.

9-1 in the SEC vs. 1-9 in the SEC. No matter where...I would put my money on 9-1 at 4 points.

It definitely sounds solid. However, all it takes is Arkansas coming out hot or LSU going into one of their dry spells to change the complexion of this game.

A perfect example that nothing is a true LOCK.

Anyone know why the New Orleans paper and local TVs say LSU vs Arkansas is on TV tonight?

As much as they suck, they are the only team in America that has defeated OU who could soon be ranked #1. LSU should win this game, but you just never know...

Your right, but on paper, this would be about the closest thing you could get to a lock.

I guess thats why they play the game.

Arkansas scares me getting Fortson back. I still think the Tigers prevail 82-79.

No doubt, LSU should cover but just don't put the house on it.

Stro, I've heard a lot of talk about needing a big game from Temple with the absence of Spencer. Let's hope Bass gives some quality minutes off the bench, and a freshman steps up in an SEC road game for the second week in a row. We'll "see."
