You comparing him to a Walk On.
You guys are desperate.

Compare him to another five star recruit, CJ Stroud.
He probably had better receivers than Stroud.

Why compare him to a five star? He was a four star.

Why not compare him to the guy who beat the 5 star CJ Stroud?

Why do you shite on every positive thread about Daniels?

So obviously Stetson took a big leap in his last year.

Impossible!!!!

I read it right here. You can’t improve that much this late.

His Sophomore year was covid. He played 4 games.
His Junior year they had a current HS assistant coach calling plays and coaching QBs.

Arizona State was a total dumpster fire.

This season was his 3rd full season. There are countless examples of players improving in their last season after having stability/good coaching. Not to mention the coaching staff will have a better understanding of his strengths/weaknesses as well as the players around him. Remember everyone was new last year.

Not unless they are the QB of an INSANELY talented team LOADED with future NFL talent. You know, like Stetson Bennett.

I don't see LSU having that next year so I don't think JD5 will be winning a natty for us without drastically improving his passing.

Yes. We will see him bounce in a clean pocket then bail as often as not and get sacked a lot.

So...he learned nothing at ASU? That would be disturbing if true as it suggests he is just not that smart.

We thought Bo Nix was what he was, then he transferred late in his career and now is thriving.
would be nice to see Nix and Daniels stats broke down side by side like the OP did.

Nix had a great season no doubt.

Georgia provided the blueprint on how to defend JD

16/24 208 yards 1 td 1 int before got hurt.

Not exactly getting shut down, but hey I get it, it doesn’t fit the JD sucks narrative.

What?

He was in a unorganized, unprofessional, toxic environment there with unqualified coaches.

He just had his best season of his career. No reason to think he can't improve again for next year.

If I'm not mistaken, this will be his first year with the same OC as the previous season, something he hasn't had before and that is huge.

Lol let's completely ignore the fact that Stetson didn't throw the ball damn near at all in 10 games of the 4th quarter this season.

Let's pretend it's all the same lol

I don't have his stats for this season, but just as a comparison to show how a player can improve, here are Bo Nix's stats from last year at Auburn:

All passes over 10 yards

51/109 = 46.7% for 1,169

Passes over 20 yards

15/42 = 35.7% for 500 yards

Bo Nix went from averaging 59% and 2,417 yards/year over 3 years at Auburn to 72% and 3,593 yards this year at Oregon.

You can recite stars all you want..... watch the game and see the plays where JD is utterly Lost on the field.

Then watch Stetson.

Now tell me he ever looks as lost as JD does at times.

Stetson also is the QB of the national champs, and still looks to be a Very late rd draft pick, if at all...
Daniels is not elite. End of story.

What stands out to me is how many fewer times JD took a shot deep.

Bennett tried 81 more deep passes and completed them at a slightly higher rate.

JD's issue is he lacks confidence in his arm, his receivers or both.

Stetson Bennet was sacked 9 times

Jayden Daniels was sacked 43 times

I agree with you that they won’t win an NC, but not because Daniels isn’t good enough. As you said, the rest of the team isn’t at that level yet.

Both will be low draft picks or UDFA. Neither will start in the NFL.

Daniels is projected late second early third.

Stetson is projected to be drafted late.
