I think Jayden having a full offseason with BK and Sloan will have him develop enough of a passing threat to make him a true DT QB. I think he made a lot of progress from the spring to this past season. I'm ready for his progression to show and to go out on a high note his last season.

Stetson Bennett also had an exceptional team around him.

You comparing him to a Walk On.
You guys are desperate.

Compare him to another five star recruit, CJ Stroud.
He probably had better receivers than Stroud.

Arkansas, A&M, and Georgia provided the blueprint on how to defend JD and we saw he couldn’t win the game, solely, with his arm. Thanks to HP, LSU won the Arkansas game. If KJ plays, that game goes in the L column.

Why are you comparing to Stetson Bennett?

I’m assuming because Bennet won 2 NCs.

You think that matters?

We are talking stats and they are statistically the same and one won 2 national championships so it is possible to win a national championship with Daniels at QB.

Except he was moving that ball effectively against Georgia and moving it well enough to win the gane against A&M if the defense had actually showed up and not let A&Ms shitty offense score more points than they had done all year but sure, keep blaming Daniels for that loss.

Whatever the stats say, you could not have watched Daniels this year and say he was good throwing the football. Mediocre at best. He cannot hit a receiver in stride to save his life. Hopefully he can improve, because it looks like he’s the starter next year. I will be pulling for him to make a huge improvement throwing, because he’ll be a Heisman candidate if he can do so.

Why did you choose Bennett?

Probably because you and others have made the claim that a QB like Daniels can’t lead a team to a national championship.

Of course JD can lead a team to the championship. Dilfer led the Ravens to a SB win.

Put Jayden Daniels on Georgia and Georgia still wins the National Championship. Georgia and our roster were not on the same level.

I would take Stetson over Daniels. He understands the game. Daniels does not.

Both will be low draft picks or UDFA. Neither will start in the NFL.

The way I took it is LSU should have twice the passing yards as it currently does, which we already knew. This doesn't take into account the hole you're putting your RB's in by the QB running the ball all the time instead of them.

Of course OP's a Dim so who knows what the point was

Yep. ExcusesU. After year 9 he’s got this.

Another year in our system is obviously what OP means.

We thought Bo Nix was what he was, then he transferred late in his career and now is thriving. Pair that with LSU QB's historically making a leap in year 2 (Jamarcus, Mett, Burrow among others). Point is, JD making huge strides at this point in his career is not unprecedented.

QB room after that still looks stacked. We're in good hands.
