2019 LSU Basketball team will be better than the 2018 team.

I personally think we will play a lot more fluid with the athleticism and year of maturity and make another SEC title run and also make a nice run into the tournament as well. Tournament projections are tough obviously based on parity and matchups but like our chances.

I think we will not be as dominating in rebounding and above the rim. But I think we will challenge for the SEC title again.

We didn't really dominate in rebounding, we were great on the offensive glass but very bad on the defensive glass so they evened out.

We were fortunate to win the league, and there's always parity in the SEC minus a team or 2. I'll be happy with a top 4 finish and another nice run in the tourny.

Highly doubtful, no way we go 16-2 or better in the conference, but I do think we should definitely be in the tourney still.

We need to find someone who can help cover the loss of KBW. He was our mvp.

Besides Mays, who is going to average 10+ points?

Either we drastically improve our 3pt shooting or find a solid rim protector. Otherwise this is probably a 5 seed who finishes around fourth in the conference.

KBW was the MVP last year.

I hope Wade can land another Juco or Transfer Big that would help settle in Watford some

It's possible, as you're going to have four guys on the team (Williams, Days, Taylor and Smart) who should be dramatically improved over their first year here. And I expect Skylar Mays not to have a midseason shooting slump which probably cost him 10 percent on his 3-point percentage and a good point or two a game in his scoring average.

Plus Charles Manning gives you a dimension you didn't have, which may or may not outweigh the loss of Waters.

But for the OP's statement to be true you're going to have to find somebody who can replace at least most of the contribution Bigby-Williams made. As that effort is ongoing it's too early to make a call on what kind of team we'll have.

Don't underestimate the Waters effect! He made mistakes at times, however he was a little magician! Point guards like Waters are rare!

Waters was great, and fun to watch. He will be missed.

Seriously? Smart and Watford will certainly average more than 10 points. Days and Williams probably will as well.

I wouldn't count out Manning and Taylor either. Taylor is likely to make a major jump as a senior; JC kids usually do.

Agreed.

I appreciate Naz but if we're being honest he was a bit of a disappointment. I think Watford can be better.
