LSU continually trying to kill tailgating.
Making the whole damn school reserved parking is dumb.

If it keeps the people off campus that just take up space and don't go to games I am all for it. I was just wondering how it was going to effect everyone and what your plans were with the changes. Seems that they sneaked this by everyone. I bet very few people know that nearly everything is paid parking now.

I did see that there are signs up in the Stadium Lot saying that all cars need to be moved by 5PM on Thursday now for RVs.

So students that paid for parking passes can't park there on Fridays now? Wtf. That's a few thousand spaces. We can't afford to give up that many spaces on any day

Has the field behind tiger park and the soccer stadium always been reserved? I parked there a couple times last year and never had any problems

I could understand the Hayfield being paid parking upon arrival, but making it a reserved spot is probably not the best idea.

So they are trying to keep people coming to the games but decided to make more free parking now reserved lots?
fricking genius

Can anyone give an opinion on the CATS service to game?

Are those reserved spots actually selling or is that lot going to be half empty?
Posted on 9/5/17 at 10:24 am to Ponchy Tiger
If you're talking about 407 it is reserved, but apparently didn't sell out so you can buy single games.
Not sure if that's what you meant, but you can't drive up and pay cash like the usual gameday parking.

quote:I was talking about 412, 413 and the part of 406 to the south of Tiger Park and to the west of the soccer field. This area has been free for years. If they want to make this paid that is fine but they need to do more than just put it on a map. They should had released this info that this has changed. There are going to be a ton of people show up there saturday and try to park and its going to be a clusterfrick.

The map says those lots are "reserved" parking, not "game by game". Can someone shed some light on this, because those lots have always been free public parking. Now they aren't? If so, frick LSU!
People already aren't showing up to the games and they are leaving early. Yet, LSU want's to make it MORE cost prohibitive and burdensome to attend? Season ticket holders are already paying a fortune to attend a home slate that includes just 6 games (only 3 of which are SEC opponents). I've been a season ticket holder for nearly 30 years, but each year LSU pushes me (and a lot of other season ticket holders) closer to just giving them up.

People are going to be beyond pissed. From what I can tell they only announced it to season ticket holders and only because they have so many spots to sell.
