Who feels like waiting until game week? This is the closest depiction of what the depth chart should look like for kick-off in Houston. Let's discuss.

OFFENSE

QB: Etling, Brennan, McMillan, Narcisse
RB: Guice, Williams, Brossette, Edwards-Helaire
FB: Moore, Mouton, Ducre
TE: Moreau, Washington, Roddy
LT: Malone, Deculus
LG: Brumfield, Campbell*, Magee
C: Clapp*, Cushenberry
RG: Ingram/Cushenberry, Charles
RT: Weathersby, Savage
WR (X): Chark, Anderson, Stevens
WR (Z): Gage, Davis, Sullivan
Slot: Dillon

DEFENSE

DE: Lacouture, Clark, Logan
NT: Alexander, Gilmore
DE: Lawrence, Herron, Thomas
F: Divinity, Thompson, Martin, Queen
Mack: White, Phillips, Taylor, Patterson
Rover: Alexander, Thornton, Voorhies
Buck: Key*, Chaisson, Anthony*
CB: Toliver, Greedy, Kirklin
FS: Delpit, Paris, Harris
SS: Battle, Monroe, C. Lewis
CB: Jackson, Fulton, X. Lewis
Nickel: Vincent

SPECIAL TEAMS

P: Growden
K: Gonsoulin, Culp

PR: Jackson

* = knicked

Side note: the offensive line will be shuffled, never remains the same. Also, does anybody actually know who the kick returners will be if not Donte handling both duties?

From what I've been hearing Gonsoulin is clearly the better kicker to this point. He's also the one who made the 53 yarder in the scrimmage, not Culp as was reported on here.

more question marks at skill positions than in any season i can remember in a long long while

OL is a problem bc of depth

DL looks pretty solid as does lb, albiet a bit short on experience.

Secondary could go either way

9-3 or 8-4

I am only allowed to post my opinion. Because if I were to post that he was currently #1 of the depth chart, I would be asked how I knew....and because I cannot share that information, I may be violating board rules. So I am just going to stick to my opinion based upon what I have personally seen.

If Magee is starting at RG, this is news to me. I had heard it was a battle between Cushenberry, Ingram, and Charles.

Yeah you're off about a lot of positions, I'm kinda curious where you got some of this stuff from.

For example:

CEH is ahead of Brosette

RG is between Cushenberry and Ingram, I don't believe Magee has been mentioned at all.

Paris is a FS and will split time with Delpit.

Coleman is the starter at F

Thornton is a Buck.

Gilmore is the starter at nose.

Where's Derrick Dillon? Ray Thornton isn't backin up Donnie. Tyler Taylor and Jacob Phillips are. Also you may want to note that Kary is the starting nickel.

Magee has NOT been listed as starter in past updates from CEO. Your list reflects what has been shared.

The bolded items need to be corrected to:

TE: Washington is almost never mentioned by coaches. Jamal Pettigrew seams to be the Number 2 guy for receiving Tight End and Roddy will be the blocking end.

RG: Cushenberry and Campbell are battling for the starting spot with Cushenberry seemingly holding the lead

WR: Your first team will be Chark, Gage, and Derrick Dillon. Dee Anderson, Drake Davis, Stephen Sullivan, Mannie Netherly and Jacoby Stevens will see time as well. Expect WAYYY more substitutions here than in previous years.

NT: Shelvin is ineligible this year and Ed is a little nicked up and out of shape. I'd expect Gilmore to see a majority of snaps until Ed comes around. Lacatoure is the third option here and Herron would slide over to DE.

Nothing official yet at linebacker, but I'd expect Corey Thompson to be the starter.

Battle and Paris will the be starters at Safety with Delpit and Todd Harris right behind them. I'm not sure how often we'll see substitutions here but I'd expect to see at least 5 safeties get decent playing time this season.

I think Gonsulon will be the PK and Culp will handle Kickoffs.

Fixed the RG position. That was simply picking between who has the most experience, but nothing more. I do remember reading somewhere Ingram and Cushenberry were getting reps there.

Paris can play both positions, but I'll change him to FS, although I think Delpit will start.

There is nobody on the roster with the last name Coleman, and Divinity almost was the day one starter there last year.

Thornton was a rover last year, so I did not know that changed.

I was at a coaches clinic last month with CEO speaking, and he mentioned Big Ed was one of the best players on the team. Implied that he is the new starter at nose.

Hard to believe Ducre doesn't suit the offense more than Mouton. Not that he's wrong on the depth chart.
