I didn't ask about hotels... that's easy. What about tix?

Away game requests are usually due by the end of May and notifications go out late June/early July.
I don't believe there will be many/if ANY, tickets set aside for the general public. Most of the best seats will be reserved for Green Bay season ticket holders....then come the Wisc. season ticket holders and the smallest batch goes to the LSU ticket holders.
These will be pricey tickets on the open market.

How does it work for season ticket holders? You put in a request for how many tickets you want and hope it can be fulfilled?

Is this true? I thought they split them evenly. Did we get more for the game in Houston?

I don't think this is true. It's a "neutral site" game. It should be split evenly.

I think that is sold out.

tickets arent even on sale yet, they arent sold out.
For the op, it is the same as any sporting event. Go on ebay, stubb hubb, ticket market place on lsu sports or the ticket exchange here. If you want tickets to a game, you can get them.

Don't know where I will get tickets from, but just booked The Hyatt, 8 blocks from Camp Randall for $189 a night. Sweet!

None of this is true
It's a neutral site game. Tickets are split almost evenly just like they were for Wisconsin fans in Houston. You didn't have to be a season ticket holder at all to get tickets from LSU.
ETA: I guess I skipped over the part where you said "best" seats..so my bad. But still, there will be tickets to buy from LSU just like there was for Houston...but they will be the "nose bleeds" and they won't last long at all

Alumni is not sold. That's not updated. Their page says 2 planes, but they have added 3 more charter planes and more hotels

In that part of Wisconsin, Appleton is known to have a pretty solid nightlife (relatively, obviously). It's in a region known as the Fox Valley Area and encompasses several towns and a city (Appleton).
In any case, a lot of people going to Packers games on weekends stay in Appleton and there are typically shuttles (from bars, hotels, etc.) that take people 30 miles up to Green Bay for more pregame festivities prior to kickoff.
I'm not sure if these will be up and running for this game, but I'd imagine they will given how big of a game it'll be for the state of Wisconsin next year.

Good call. Appleton is the way to go. I'll be doing the same.
As I said in my previous post, a lot of bar have shuttles that go to and from Lambeau for a small fee (is typically between $15-$20) and you can obviously drink on it.
I would assume those shuttles will be running for a game of this magnitude.
