Booked my hotel room literally 20 minutes ago!

LSU season ticket holders will gobble up most if not all of the allotment {heard it will be less than 14,000}, some of these will pop up on stubhub/other re-sale sites....but, at a significant mark-up.

Hilton Garden Inn Green Bay (half mile from Lambeau). I used a telephone and a credit card.

Warning: 3 night minimum, cheapest room is $400/night, and you have to pay for the room in advance and it's non-refundable.

When I called and asked how far in advance they allow people to book a room, and she immediately said "are you calling about the LSU game?" So apparently I'm not even close to the first person to call. She said they had to get special permission from Hilton but they are able to now book.

So I would guess they won't have availability for long.

Every thread needs a one-upper. Looks like we found ours.

Just kidding. See you in Green Bay.

Thanks.. None of the standard hotel websites show and availability yet. And I've called like 7 hotels in the last month and all of them told me 50 weeks out is when they open booking.

Yeah I called the Hampton Inn yesterday and they told me the same thing. On a whim I called the Hilton Garden Inn just to see what they would say, and like I said the woman told me that they typically wouldn't book, but due to the volume of calls they've gotten recently, they got special permission to book now.

Do you know about when season ticket holders make requests for this game? And more importantly, when they would find out how many tickets they get?

I signed up on-line yesterday here. Not like me to do this, but when will LSU play in Lambeau again (I'll be dead). No worse than hotel I just paid for in Omaha close to Ameritrade or much worse hotels in Tuscaloosa or Athens.

Hilton Garden Inn is the only one taking reservations. Hampton and another new in Hilton family downtown are not. Marriott and Choice brands book 50 weeks out, which we have not hit yet.
