Hale seems like the only surprise on the first team.

Hale does not surprise me. He's been solid all year, especially at the plate.

A little, but he's actually leads LSU in BA (.375) in SEC play.

It really is embarrassing how many great defensive players we have on this team. Just silly.

How do the outfield honors look compared to that "SEC's best outfielders" graphic that caused such an uproar earlier this season?

Yeah, i get that. Honestly I couldn't name a 3b for another team. But, he seemed kind of shaky in the field.

I'm a little surprised Chinea isn't first team but he didn't start blasting homers until halfway through the year. Still a very impressive showing by LSU.

I guess getting Freshman of the Year and 1st Team starting pitcher makes Lange ineligible for the All-Freshman team.

LSU players make up half of the 1st-team all SEC.

Chinea as of late has been on a roll, but that's probably the only reason he made it to the 2nd team.

i was just going to ask if there is some rule that the freshman of the year can't be on the "all" team.

if you had to decide between our 2009 team or this team at this point in the season who would you pick?

i'd go with 2009 but its almost a toss up for me.
