offense: unproven QB and WR that have potential. Expect LSU with a beastly line to pound it on everyone.

Defense: we are not really losing anyone big this year, and our players will greatly improve. LSU should be back to a top notch D next year.

this is looking more like 2011 and 2012 LSU will have lots of talent on Defense and an offense that may not do much (but will wear teams out). But if Cam doesn't go anywhere I think he will work in a great offense.

But hey we still got stuff to play for this

so lets win out.

5-0 before a tough game

I see no reason to fear Florida. Muschamp isn't very good and their offense isn't going to get any better with their QB pool.

Arky's still going to suck.

aTm without Manziel =

I see three difficult games at the moment (Auburn, Ole Miss, Bama).

You make way too many assumptions in players returning. Hill, Landry, Beckham, Freak and Ego are all guaranteed gone. This is the new college football with rookie salary cap so get use to it. Only way we'll have a great team next year is we see unusual growth in several key positions because it will be filled with minimum/inexperience at key positions due to other players leaving early.

I think we'll have a younger team next year than this year...

I'm pretty sure Collins at least will be leaving early on the oline too with maybe Turner joining him? Offense looks scary young and no experience at all. It wouldn't shock me to see Hilliard leave too although it would be a stupid move on his part. WR is going to be and RB will be one injury away from a disaster. We will literally have zero experience at WR next year outside Dural who hasn't done much himself. Perhaps the most key position is QB and as you said...nobody knows what Jennings can do. FB is going to be one of those positions where you will miss Copeland and realize how good he actually was. Defense should be better but I expect our offense to go back to being mediocre due to youth.

I think Wisconsin will be a tougher game than people think. Not saying we will lose but they play decent defense and have great running backs.

LSU will have a down year offensively even assuming Cameron stays. Defensively we should hopefully be back to form. I can definitely see another 2009 style team

JJ 2166 yards 17 TDs 171 rush yards 1 TD
Running backs 1503 yards 14 TDs

------------------------------------------

That was the problem with 09. The offensive line was atrocious and we couldn't run the ball for shite when we were a run first team. JJ was the #2 QB in the country in the RZ that year, but we couldn't run the ball to save our life.

In Cam's offense, we are balanced with more big plays downfield. Expect Jennings with something around 2600 yards and 23 TDs with another 300 yards on the ground and 6 TDs. Run game should be way better because the whole offensive line should be back. Collins could go, but IDK.

.........................................

For reference of running games (RBs & FBs Only):
2008 - 2011 yards 24 TDs
2009 - 1503 yards 14 TDs 13 GAMES
2010 - 1978 yards 22 TDs
2011 - 2550 yards 32 TDs
2012 - 2481 yards 29 TDs
2013 - 1521 yards 23 TDs 8 GAMES

This schedule sets up better than this season.

Beat Wisconsin, and beat 1 of Auburn & Florida on the road leading to the showdown with Bama. A&M will be down next year.

However, AU will be strong next season and could be the West Favorite.

Where is Diarse on the depth chart?? Dude was a beast in H.S. Have to believe he will emerge next year...not fast, but gritty, like Landry.

Come on tuk, regardless of that outcome, we got screwed playing a team we beat at their house and had to win the seccg while they fricked their kinfolks.

Not stupid. RB's are a dime a dozen in today's NFL. There's not much money to be made by spending an extra year getting hit in college.

If he KH gets drafted, there is not much money to be lost by playing another year in college.

Leaving both your byes so late in the season is retarded.

Take one before Alabama. Use the other one before the Auburn game to rest for two straight really tough away games.

To take one before aTm is just fricking stupid.

Probably 9-3 or 8-4. We're gonna lose a ton of important pieces to the draft and QB and defense will both be huge question marks.

ETA: 9 games before the first bye. Wow.

LSU's worn out. Part of the reason why they lost to Ole Miss. It'll be two seasons in a row with a really late first bye week. They'll drop a game in 2014 they shouldn't because of that.

Probably Ole Miss.

Pretty shitty OOC planning by LSU.

I literally can't believe we're doing this two years in a row.

You don't need 2 weeks to prepare for fricking aTm, whether it's this year or next year.

You aren't stopping Manziel unless you have an NFL defense. We don't, so who cares. It's gonna be a shootout.

As for next year, they're gonna fricking suck. But yeah, let's take 2 weeks to get ready for that.

Good analysis, but yeah, too early...way too early.
