Because we don't get to play Tenn and UK every year.

Hey Slive (and Alleva for being spineless).

Slive is in Bama's pocket. We might as well get used to it.

Alleva should've spoken up against this crap. For the 2nd straight year, Bama will not have to play any of the top teams from the East division, while LSU plays 2 of the top 3.

It really is becoming quite comical.

We play Georgia and Florida. Alabama plays Kentucky and Tennessee.

Unbelievable.

Arkansas kind of caught it in the butt too with USC and UF.

Serious question, because I can't think of one realistic way any team can influence the schedule makers.
Seriously? Seriously? Ever hear of Bama/Auburn/Birmingham?

I am so sick of bama and their pathetic schedule.
I'm right there with ya and I want to extend the bitch.

It's time for the SEC to bust the grandfather clause for SECCG tickets. Bammers hold about 80% of the public tickets not pledged as a result of hosting the game in Birmingham when the divisions were formed.

If bama makes it to the game they use their tickets. If they don't they sell them at the last minute. End result is SECe has 80% of the fans in the stadium every year.

ALABAMA
Sept. 14 at Texas A&M
Sept. 28 OLE MISS
Oct. 12 at Kentucky
Oct. 19 ARKANSAS
Oct. 26 TENNESSEE
Nov. 9 LSU
Nov. 16 at Mississippi State
Nov. 30 at Auburn

With this type of schedule, a one-loss LSU should get the nod over Alabama for any SECCG or divisional games should be the determining factor alone for the SECCG. We will certainly have the tougher schedule by far in the BCS virtually every year. Of course, that's the way it is this year.

OK, looks like things are still being determined beyond 2013. See the quote below:

quote:

SEC Digital Network: The 2013 SEC football schedule is being termed a “bridge” schedule. What do you mean by that?

Mark Womack: “Instead of having a long-term schedule that is established with who the permanent and rotating opponents are, this is a stand-alone schedule for just 2013 that has no impact on what is going to be agreed upon going forward. It is really to get us through the 2013 year as we look to create a longer-term schedule for 2014 and beyond.”

it will be 7 years before Alabama plays Fla, Ga, or South Car in the regular season but you can bet something happens to change that before then so they can avoid all 3. After 2 games with Kentucky, they are going to get 2 with Vandy and then 2 with Mizzou

The BCS as we know it will cease to exist after 2014.

The computers would reward LSU for playing a tougher schedule, but the selection committee will reward Bama for losing fewer games.

You know, suddenly I like the sound of "Rocky Top". I hope they play it early and often in BDS next year and that Tennessee becomes the Titan (SWIDT?) of the East!

Alabama and UT have to have their annual lovefest on the 3rd Saturday of October every year.

I think that's fine and all if bama wants to play tenn every year. But why the other teams that don't want a permanent opponent have to have one makes no sense.

And I think it sucks to rotate only one team a year. Might go 12 years between road trips to some schools. That's lame as shite.

So, what are the odds that UGA doesn't have to return the trip and play LSU in 2014 in TS?

Didn't you hear...the SEC office says 2012 and now 2013 are simply "bridge" schedules. That means 2014 will have LSU @ USCe and bama vs. Vandy in all likelihood...lol

The SEC has alaways been and will always be about Bama. The SEC does everything in its power to ensure Bama has the easiest path to the championship. As long as the SEC offices are in Birmingham, nothing will change.

I thought we would play South Carolina on the road? Did they stop the home/away deal two years in a row like they have done in the past with other East teams?
