I am guessing Saturday nights in Death Valley are soon to become a thing of the past. The more we are on T.V. the more we have to play around their time schudle. I guess it has some pro's and con's but I wish would just say screw it and keep to tradition.

I love Thursday night football...and FWIW, I wish there was college football every night of the week...I'm up for a Tuesday night CFB game, Wed night CFB game, Thursday and Friday night CFB games (which we already have). I do hate when the matchup is a crap one, like Miami-Ohio vs Bowling Green or something along those lines. I prefer to see the BCS conferences, Big East excluded.

All that said, I want LSU playing on Saturdays, but I do enjoy having good college games to watch throughout the week. A good game on a Thursday night gives me something to look forward to.

That's a pretty drastic assessment.

Saturday nights in Death Valley will still include most if not all of the "lesser games" (such as North Texas, Vanderbilt, McNeese, etc.) and probably 1-2 ESPN Saturday night-games per year, plus CBS hopefully recalls that they like LSU night games (2007 UF at LSU, 2008 LSU at UF & 2009 UF at LSU).

All-in-all, that's probably anywhere from 4 to 7 night games per year in Tiger Stadium for the forseeable future.

Who will be carrying the LSU Oregon game?

I'd think it'd be abc or cbs.

I have no problem watching LSU on a Thursday if the game isn't at LSU. Thursday night games are a great way to get more people to watch your team.

Yeah, Saturday night in Tiger Stadium isn't going anywhere.

Obviously, in the current setup, we're inevitably going to have 1-3 home games per year on CBS at 2:30, but the vast majority of our home game are at night and will continue to be at night.

ESPN/ESPN2/CBS understand the night game tradition at LSU, and trust me they would prefer to be doing night games at LSU if possible. Sometimes it's just not feasible with the current CBS scheduling setup.

I expect that CBS will have more double-headers in the fture if the TV contracts and their own scheduling will allow, and the team that will benefit the most from CBS doubleheaders it will be LSU, because everyone will get what they want ... big LSU games at night on CBS.

I guess I'm just stuck in tradition. I like my Friday nights for high school, Saturdays for college, and Sunday for the pros. ....

Yea, maybe one day you will geet a TV with a remote!!!
