Cracks me up the way LSU fans assume we will beat Wisconsin.

We shall see. I don't necessarily like getting the "10th" win versus Purdue or Sconsin. I think it all depends on next year. If next year is a progression, then yes he's doing good. If next year is a "rebuild." ....

then we have issues.

I’m a little concerned. Notre Dame fans harped that Kelly could never bring it all together at once . They’d field a great offense some seasons, and their defense was trash. Alternatively, when they’d field stout defenses, they were lacking offensively.

Well, that certainly shows. Best offense in the country and easily one of the worst defenses in the country.

If two years ago I told you over the next two years: -we’d have two 10 win seasons -the most prolific offense in CFB comparable in ways to 2019 -a biletnikoff finalist/winner -a heisman finalist/winner -best bama one of those years -play for the sec title one of those years Everyone would be absolutely thrilled based on the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

And yet still…….people still complain. Miles was successful in 2 years….but I would’ve gotten rid of him after 2008. Let’s wait to complain about Kelly until after, say, year 4, ok?

Took Kirby 5 years to get Georgia where they are now. Took coach Drink 4 years to get Missouri where they are now which is basically where we are, we beat them BTW. Took Kiffin 4 years to be basically as good as we are now, we were 10 yds away from beating them.

We are still rebuilding from the mess O left. BK if LEFT ALONE will be a great LSU coach.

That is a nice start. But it’s come at a tremendous cost of guaranteed money to an old coach.

Bobby Bowden is the only coach to win his first title at age 60+. And he had many outstanding seasons at FSU before finally winning it all.

BK has now said that LSU is his last coaching stop. Many suspected he was going to step down at ND during his last years there. But who would turn down $100 million?

Was anyone trying to get BK away from ND? Well besides Woody after his first choices backed out.

His track record is to have 9 wins, lose to the best teams, and act like an a-hole. People don’t change.

Yet you'll still see these smooth-brains starting threads where Kelly only has one more year to deliver a championship because he said three years and I deserve and my expectations and settle for mediocrity (did I miss any?) and blah blah blah.

I’ll take a 10 dub, Heisman winner/favorite, record breaking offense, worst defense in the country type of season over the absolute shite show embarrassment Orgeron 2020/2021 seasons ALL DAY, every day, and twice on Sunday.

Unacceptable for a program of LSU’s standard. Regardless of what the offense did, the abysmal defense is the reason this team isn’t in the playoffs. It’s disgusting.

Who cares how much we paid him? Look at the other options we could’ve hired, BK looks like Saban compared to Riley, SunBelt Billy, etc. and he has LSU trending upwards. The shite Orgeron did to the program in his last 2 years had to be fixed. Would you rather we had budgeted the cost of those repairs and have it linger around for a decade and end up like Tennessee or worse; or would you rather pay the piper to get it done quick? We paid a guy a hefty amount to come in and get it fixed and that guy ended up getting it done way quicker/sooner than anyone expected. I’d say it was well worth the cost… idk that’s just my personal opinion

No, but thank the big man upstairs that Woody did “swing and miss” on his first choices; bc the guy he ultimately did choice, has done an outstanding job and has been better than those other choices. It’s funny how that works, huh? The young flashy home run hire coach that everyone beats their meat about, rarely are they better than the “old” experienced guy who somehow managed to be the most winningest coach in history at a very historic and successful blue blood.

Seems like some people change. I’m pretty sure he won double digit dubs last year? Idk I could be wrong ??…

That’s what people seem to be forgetting for some reason. Do y’all forget what “standard” Orgeron left Lsu with, that BK has had to fix? He’s been here 2 years, how can you expect him to field a real “Lsu standard” defense in that short of time with what he was left with and had to work with?
Look what he’s done with the offense tho, usually it’s tougher to fix an offense than defense… the hard part is “done”, all that’s left now is to fix a few / make a few changes/adjustments to the defense and let him get some talent in and we’ll be straight. Defensive talent is a dime a dozen in Louisana, just unfortunately had a swing and miss this year. Which is pretty rare

Notre Dame fans also think what their priest did to them when they were an alter boy was normal… I wouldn’t listen to their opinions, especially when it comes to sports, specifically football.

Bk year 1: 9-3 regular season
Bk year 2: 9-3 regular season

That sure seems to be a pattern. We can expect 9 win seasons until bk retires. He will not win a natty here. He will lose the big games just like he has done his entire career. Anyone who thinks a man with 30+ years of coaching experience is going to change his ways is a fool.

Matt House still has a job. That alone is cause for concern.

I’m sure you thought this same shite about Saban and Miles and Orgeron. LSU is different than other schools/places. Especially Notre Dame… we don’t want him to “change his ways”, “his ways” is the reason we hired him. Because he’s a good coach who has had success. So let’s see what he can do at a place where it’s pretty difficult to NOT be successful. It’s literally only his 2nd year.

Touché on this point tho lol
I think that’s going to be BK’s real litmus test imo. Whatever decision he makes w/ House will show us what we can expect/look forward to…

Well, hell why stop at the AD? I say we blame we Tate and of course the Governor has to be at fault as well.
