Wonder if his uncle (Ty Detmer) taking an OC & QB coaching position @ BYU will affect our chances? Sorry, can't make link work in this browser.

Is Dinkelman mormon? If not I dont see why that would affect anything.

Ty Detmer has been one of his high school coaches - not hard to see why his nephew might want to go there.

Whether it does or not at all, LSU needs to recruit at least two or more prime QBs at the same time, as opposed to one. This should be a "Lesson Learned" for the staff.

When Jimbo was here with Satan, they did not tolerate B.S. from Robert Lane, QB, West Monroe, and his father about signing Jarmarkus Russell in the same class with Matt Flynn. They were not going to allow a prospective recruit to "HIJACK" their class at QB, unlike what Les and Cameron did with F. Franks this year.

No "CHEST" deserves No "SCHOLARSHIP!" This should be LSU's motto going forward in recruiting at the QB position. Les needs to do what he preaches by "HOLDING HIS CHEST OUT" to these damn recruits.

Yep. Lane sucked so hard at qb for Ole Miss he switched positions. Great call on Flynn and Russell by the coaches.

It goes both ways. Would you have wanted to lose Jamarcus in order to keep both?

Jamarcus didn't commit until signing day

How does it go both ways? Russell committed AFTER we already had 2 QB commits (one being the #1 dual threat), meaning he wasn't some pansy candy arse.

Let's put "AN END" to the B.S. See the links below:

Coach Miles, again, this is a "Lesson Learned!" When you have inconsistency at a QB position, you try to recruit as many QBs as possible and let everything play out on signing date. Verbals do not mean "SH@T!"

the athlete you are when you are 12 is often very different than the athlete you are at 18 and not always for the better relative your competition.

Is Dinkleman still considered the top level QB that he was at 12?

Just watched the 30/30 espn on the 1982 little league world series and they had a pitcher the championship team that completely dominated. Was all world (not literally). By the time he was 18 he was very average.

Didn't he wreck his shoulder as a freshman? I saw him several times at Neville and he really was a stud.

I dont think some of you understand how different BYU is from literally every other non-Mormon school.
