Was talking to a former Zachary player that played with him for years. He was saying that Von Rosenberg has basically been planning on this move for the past year or so, and has been working out heavily at both throwing the football and punting. He could be a very big player for us. I know he's just a walk-on, but his athleticism is well known.

I have an inside source who just told me we have a javelin thrower from our track and field team a few years back who is going to try out for QB as a walk on as well. He might be able to offer Zack some competition. This is looking better and better!

A 6'5" mature 25 year old ex-minor league athlete with an explosive arm, a highly competitive nature and IQ. Doesn't really get any better than that. Zack's a big-time LSU fan, he may finally end up bringing LSU that title just like he dreamed, only it's a football title.

Jared Foster wasn't 6'5", and didn't have the competitive nature of Zack who pitched in the title game and won it all 4 years in high school. Takes a very competitive spirit to handle that kind of pressure.

Think positive, this LSU staff may not sign a recruit for QB, but they may not need to with Zack.

I think it would be easier to step in and punt, than to play college QB with no prior position experience, but what do I know.

Realistically, best case scenario for him, he works his arse off at punter, and starts by his junior year.
