McKinney's Zach Lee, committed to LSU, had an impressive game as well, going 20 of 37 for 360 yards and five touchdowns.

Too bad he apparently doesn't have a defense.

I hope he makes it to LSU but the prospect of that certainly looks dim.

the opposing qb, scotty young (texas tech commit), had 542 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Young is the pefect QB for the Texas Tech offense. He's going to be scary good in college.

Did the teams even put defenses out on the field?

This is Big XII country.
They don't feel the need to play defense.

It was an MLB draft reference.

He is leaning heavily towards the MLB draft as most suspect.

And they have best QBs around...of course, once ZL is a Tiger, he'd only be considered about the 5th best QB in the B12.

Link? Everything he has said has been the opposite although that could just be for leverage once he is drafted.

I'm going to try to catch a McKinney game in the next week or two. As far as he going immediately to pro baseball, he is a prospect alright but I haven't heard where he is a definite loss to major league baseball. Funny sometimes how hype has guys going much higher in the draft than they end up going.

When did this change? The prevailing feeling a few months ago was that he would likely choose college.

I hate the use of the term "orally" committed...makes me cringe.

That term should only be used for USCw and Texas commits, IMO
