Texas has this thing where if you don't love them they back off... Last years recruiting class should tell you as much. Also when it comes to duel sport athletes coaches have a quick feel for whether to bother or not. Recruiting services tend to low rank players that they are unsure will attend college, whether it be via grades or draft

I wonder how high he is supposed to be drafted. HE may never make it to LSU.

Scout has him as the 20th best in the country and a 3 star.
I'm a scout member because Mike S. doesnt touch Sonny.....But Rivals rankings and national coverage is much better.....I'll go by Rivals national rankings all day over Scouts....Even when it doesnt benefit LSU.

Good pickup. We weren't going to land a top national QB, but Lee is the type of kid that ads great depth and can develop into a very good QB.

I also heard that he might get drafted in the MLB Draft next year meaning he might just be here for a year. So what is the benefit of drafting him for just a couple of years?

The statement made by the people in this forum and the offer for him to a kid who might leave for MLB in 2 years dont correlate with only 6 other offers in TOTAL (excluding LSU).

so he'll be leaving for MLB after his freshman year of college? Thats pretty awesome.

dont get your panties in a bunch bud bud. I have not heard of him too much by the scouting websites. He was highly touted here, and his numbers are amazing. So i was curious if of you would just be able to share why he is good and why is is not good. Thats all.

The first one to do it at that. Must be someone special, maybe hes been giving a bit of a circle jerk to the NCAA guys.

He's a very good player but Texas was never interested. LSU,OU and Texas had Wood as their #1.

He won't get past the 3rd round in the MLB draft. No way he plays college football.

Same thing was said about Chad Jones a few years ago.

Agree with what he said. I don't see him making it to LSU either. We didn't really need a QB in this class, so LSU coaches probably figured why not take a chance on a big talent like this? Even if he doesn't make it here.

Chad Jones also wouldn't be here if they would of offered him a million+ contract. And wasn't he drafted in like, the 12th round or something?
