Jones fell in the draft BECAUSE of his asking price. Very common. Guys they would sometimes draft in the Top 3 rounds routinely fall to the late single digit rounds or 10-15 rounds because of asking price.

I remember reading Chad Jones was looking for a sweet spot in the money but they never offered it to him. He was never truly deadset on LSU...the team either had rule restrictions on their pay or they got cheap. If Lee gets drafted in the top 3 rounds, hes gone. He'll get a multi-million deal. Teams don't waste high draft picks on guys they know won't sign a deal. It rarely happens.

Jones would have been gone if the Astros(13th round) put up 800,000 or so. He slipped because he wanted a lot of money and he was an elite football player.

physique wise it looks like lee has better ability than heaps. Heaps is considered #1 on scout, but only has 4 stars on rivals. The 2 are reported to have the same weight (195). But Lee is supposedly a fraction faster and is 2" taller so he should have a better feel for the field. Hopefully he will stay at LSU and give us a rly nice pocket passer option for a couple of years.

i don't see why some of you would think he's already gone? yeah, it's a slight possibility, but i think w/ him committing that he's here to stay; at least for now..
