I would have loved DM to have come to LSU. However, he's still underwhelming and doesn't physically engage like an elite LB. He's gonna be really good, but he's not gonna be the next coming.

How about we not even worry about Dylan Moses?
Stop glorifying the kid.

Moses isn't even that superior of an athlete to Gay. If you look at their Nike comibine scores they are very close.

I really hope that we land him. I feel like he is playing LSU and will stay home on NSD.

If that's what he's doing, then he's digging his own grave.

Considering his last post was "frick it then", I doubt it.

Get fricked. Moses was pimped out since he was a child. That family begged for the attention. Don't have a fit when you give the finger to the same fan base that worshiped your every move since diapers.

Look I despise Moses more than most here, but if Moses was inking at LSU and Gay at Ole Miss or Miss we'd laugh at this idea.

In the end are they comparable? Sure, but lets pump the brakes on saying Gay is better than Moses.

sounds very similar to the Jamal Adams vs Hootie Jones talk when they signed.

Moses > Gay

I hope we are able to sign Gay and he should be a huge boost for the tigers, but the only reason people are saying Gay is > Moses is because there's a chance we get him and Moses is going to bama.

It's ok to realistically view a situation and not let emotions affect your judgment.

Wanna know how I know you haven't watched film? Ive seen Moses play live twice, I was there to see him. He made virtually no impact on the game meanwhile, was rated #1 in the nation. Willie Gay takes over the game and forced his way up the ranks.

This is all great, but the point that most are making here is if Moses was coming here and Gay was going to Ole Miss you wouldnt be saying that.

Not really. Allen isn't coming here and he's better than Moses.

doesn't really matter. if lsu can sign gay, Phillips, or brooks. It doesn't matter.

The deciding factor is going to be who they are playing behind. (the defensive line). The better the defensive line, the better the linebacker looks. Lsu is killing it on the d-line the past two years. It doesn't matter if moses looks better than gay or gay better than moses. either one will look good behind this defensive line. They are going to be clean/free from blocks to make tackles.

Just get some quality lbs. I dont' care the name. The defensive line is the bigger asset. They keep the lbs clean, they make plays.

Both are obviously very good players, but the guy that impresses me the most is Phillips. Watching him play reminds me of guys like Beckwith and Kelvin Sheppard in that when they hit the ball carrier the play was over, immediately. It was like the ball carrier was running into a brick wall. Gay and Moses may have more athleticism to play in space, but Phillips looks like your prototypical MLB who shuts down any and everything if the ball carrier gets past the DL.

If you told me I could only have one of the three, I'd take Phillips.

It's not "us" pushing this narrative, it's scouts and recruiting gurus. I'm sure everyone would be thrilled if Moses was coming here, but based on his rating slip (despite being at Rating Bump U) and what 'experts' are saying, he doesn't seem like the player people thought he was going to be.
