Why Saban Outrecruits Everyone: Pulled an offer on a kid yesterday

I wrote in a post yesterday about how Saban is a liar and convinces every kid they will be a start until he throws them away. He keeps being able to do it because even though they see all the other kids thrown away, he convinces them that they are special and will be the one who makes it.
Almost half of them get processed. One kid got processed yesterday on his way to the podium and had to scramble and sign with Arkansas.
How does this relate to LSU? Well, if we aren't doing stuff like this, I'm glad. I know about Elliot Porter, but he is on the team now and will get his scholly. Saban is cutthroat and it we can do it better and lose out on some kids we aren't lying to, I'm all for it.
My respect for Chizik went up a bit after reading this, too.

Nobody talks about this enough when it comes to Saban. The miles haters jump all over him when the numbers have to crunch but they praise Saban when he shits on a kids commitment to the university.

Kid had been committed since September and took no other visits. Shows up to school yesterday with an Alabama hat on and goes to sign and is told they have no room for him because 2 other players committed to Alabama yesterday putting them over the limit. So, he bails on the 3 star DLineman for the new guys.
What a liar.
What a liar.

Yet if Miles did the same thing he'd be crucified on this board.

Didn't Miles make a kid move out of his dorm because the numbers didn't work and he would have to greyshirt?

Who was that?
Maybe you're thinking of Elliot Porter.

Next time we have a numbers crunch issue and someone starts losing their shite. This article will be posted.

No way that Auburn does this every year unless it becomes mandatory. Right or wrong, giving all recruits 4 years will wind up putting them at a competitive disadvantage. No way fans allow it to continue past the first sign that it is affecting their depth and bottom line W/Ls.
Feel bad for that kid that Saban did that shite to. Developing a pattern of burning kids like this will come back to haunt him down the road.

If Miles did the same thing, it would be national news on ESPN. We were on probation this year and played it squeaky clean. Obviously, the teams that win at recruiting are bending the rules. Saban might be clean by the letter of the law, but he does stuff no has even thought of before and there aren't rules for yet.
Our class suffered because we didn't play like this this year. I think LSU has been dirty in the past just like every other team that pulls in top 5 classes. When others are offering stuff and you are not, it hurts you. We'll be like the rest next year and will have a top 5 class again.

Elliot Porter spent the summer months in Baton Rouge, one of 20-plus freshmen signees who enrolled in summer school in June and began their offseason workouts with the team.
When running back Jakhari Gore was given the go-ahead by the NCAA Clearinghouse on Monday, head coach Les Miles realized that – because all of LSU’s 2010 signees had qualified in time for Thursday’s start of fall camp – two names couldn’t enroll on scholarship this fall.
The staff offered Porter one of the greyshirt opportunities.
The results of the conversation – Porter being released from his letter of intent – have

I know Porter ended up at LSU.
Philon could have ended up at Bama.
Saban told the kid before he signed.
Miles told the kid after he had been on campus for a semester.
Seems hypocritical for LSU fans to complain about this story. Just saying.

Academic casualties were expected in the Porter situation, by everyone qualified. Plus, Zach Lee took us to the last minute before he bolted and that was unexpected. So, that is all way different from what Saban did yesterday.
Ask where Elliot Porter is now, why don't you?

Philon could have been at Alabama in January.
At least he didn't move to campus before being told.

He has done similar to Dexter Pratt, Storm Johnson, Elliot Porter, and Patrick Miller.

You are pathetic. Did Bama fans blast Miles for the Porter situation? Yes.
Not everyone was expected to qualify. They all did. It was a surprise. Someone had to go and unfortunately Porter was offered the gray shirt, which he didn't want. But, the coaches thought it would work out. Very different from what Saban did yesterday.
The guy is scum. He wins and makes the Bama fans happy. I get it. But, he is classless. No doubt he is a great coach, though. He fits Alabama.

is it really that shocking?
People have been saying it on the boards for the past few weeks. The problem is that the Les Miles haters don't want to hear it, becasue all they care about is the W on Saturdays. One thing Miles does, is he tries to do things the right way and stay within the limits of the rules. I am not saying he doesn't bend some, but sooner or later if you bend rules too much they break and then you hit sanctions. Saban is walking that line right now and sooner or later he will break one and get sanctioned. It will be interesting to see if he stays at Bama when he does.

Les Miles didn't do a thing to Storm Johnson. Storm Johnson and his crazy arse daddy tried to press LSU into a scholarship before they were ready to give him an offer, to the point where the kid told people on the record that he was committed to LSU
with no scholarship offer
he's nuts
with no scholarship offer
he's nuts

I really don't understand how this shite doesn't catch up to Saban in recruiting at this point. He clearly doesn't give a shite about anyone and will dump you at any point of his choosing. Miles had a screwup with Porter a few years ago but it ultimately looks like an honest mistake instead of simply not giving a shite since Porter is now at LSU, on scholarship.

Dexter Pratt? No. Not the same situation.
Storm Johnson? No.
Elliot Porter? Already discussed.
Patrick Miller? Trying to enroll early. No.
Try again.
When has Miles, or any coach, pulled a scholarship on signing day?
This is LSU related because it deals with recruiting tactics. Saban is great because he promises every player that they will start and play 3 years and be off to the NFL. Unless they don't.
