I'd say Quinn is faster but LF is quicker. I feel like I should spell it out for the smartasses; straight line speed vs cut/contact n go.

I doubt with 25+ lbs on Quinn that he is quicker either. But we're just nitpicking now

I dont have any info on Quinn but LF ran a 6.55 and a 6.62 at the LHSAA State Indoor Track Championships in 2013. Jeryl Brazil ran a 6.27 for comparison. The only other person I recognized in the finals was Sione Palelei at 6.52.

FYI, Brazil was in the DIV 2 and LF was in Div 1

You can't really base 40 times with 100 times. I was slow getting out the blocks but I ran high 10s in the 100m. My 40 time was like 4.46-4.5 because it took me some time getting out

I wonder when the Sammy Martin comparisons with Quinn will start?

None of these players run a 4.3. That's fricking insane. There may be like 2 recruits in the country that run legit 4.3s.

I think it is important to remember that these are two football players who just happen to run track, not the other way around. We all know the difference between track speed and football speed, and I think they both have both.

I like to think of them as simply good FOOTBALL PLAYERS. Leonard would make a great LB, and could probably play WR too. Trey has played well at free safety, RB, and QB too. I like them at their respective positions, but like I said, when I watch them both I see throwback football players who simply have a great feel and passion for the game! It is my hope that they compliment each other, support each other, and help us secure many victories!

Yep, both would probably do good to run sub 4.5 and that's damn fast enough.

But Quinn was laser timed at 4.39 over a year ago

yep, so he runs a 4.4. if your fastest time ever is a hundredth of a second or so under a 4.4, then you run a 4.4. probably averages around a mid 4.4. that is blazing fast. reggie bush ran a 4.39 at the combine.

4.46 because you were slow out of the blocks? Was it the 12 inch dong that slowed you down?

I would generally agree but Quinn may be even faster today and tomorrow than yesterday.

Either way, I'm excited he is a tiger.

LF is fast for his age and weight but no way he runs a 4.35. So many of these guys have sub 4.4 times on their rivals page in high school and show up to the NFL combine in the best shape of their lives to run 4.5's

I don't know what either of them run in the 40. I also realize that there are exaggerated 40 times on rivals pages, and that some of these so called 4.4 guys to the NFL and run in the 4.5s. No doubt that happens all the time....but it doesn't happen to guys who are running in the vicinity of 10.6 100 meter dashes. I mean, I don't think you are going to find "a lot" of guys coming into the NFL and timing 4.5s that were cracking 10.6 100 meter times in high school. I think it's fair to say that these guys are in the 4.4 realm.

Again - under optimal conditions he ran a 10.68 100m - depending on his acceleration, that is very consistent with a 4.4 40, or thereabouts - perhaps as fast as 4.35. In fact, with that 100m time on record, I'd be shocked if he ran as slow as 4.5.

The 100m time is not a good indication for your 40 time. I once saw two guys race who both ran laser 4.42 times. One of which ran track and ran a 10.3, the other ran an 11.1.

Watching fournette, he has very good acceleration, but not excellent. He does have pull away speed, which is why he runs a 10.68. I'd put him at 4.50...which is still very fast for a big back.
