And he actually compares quite favorably to two receivers we had last year.

He catches the ball like OBJ from his HS footage & his run after the catch ability reminds me of Green-Beckham.

Dupre gives me a Plaxico Burress vibe.

Answer has to be Trey Quinn given what he's accomplished and where he's rated. You can't do much more than set a national career record. It's criminal that he's not a 5*. I hope his opponents underestimate him like the rest of the country has.

And it's encouraging that there is an argument to made several ways.

Wow. IMHO a lot of fail in this thread. The question is who is the most UNDER rated! Upside in that department is very small for a 4 or 5 star guy. So the diamond in the rough question should go to one of these guys.

Cameron Gamble, Sione Teuhema, John Battle, Trey Lealaimatafao, Donnie Alexander, Russell Gage or Chark! Everyone else is pretty much considered a stud.

I am going to go with John Battle. Doubt he breaks the starting line up for a while but when he does it will be to replace a couple of guys destined for NFL glory.

Jacory Washington

Unbelievable class on the offensive side of the ball, especially if Harris reaches his potential. I think Jacory might make as much of an impact as any other recruit on the offensive side of the ball. Yes, Fournette will probably be special, but LSU will have other productive RBs. Jacory will potentially have his share of big plays between the 20s, but it's in the red zone where he will cause problems for the opposing D. If nothing else, he might keep the safeties busy and make teams play one-on-one on a guy like Dupre.

I agree with you that Jacory is a beast. But if he is underated that puts him up there with the likes of a certain Saints TE!

Of course if by underated you mean by the LSU fans in general then I think you are right on the talent vs. perception aspect of it. Only question is will LSU fully break out of their mold of the recent past and fully use his talents? I sure hope so. Would hate to see his offensie capabilities under utilized.

Didn't expect for anyone to think that. He'd be the last one I would pick. I doubt he ever sees the field at LSU.

From what I've seen on the highlights, how could anyone not pick Trey Lealaimatafao? But then I remembered most posters don't know shite about football and usually pick skill position players. IMO ...all the recruiting services dropped the ball in evaluating Lealaimatafao. Please will someone tell me why is he ranked so low. Dude looks like a five star to me.

You think Washington has better ball skills that Deshan Smith? Smith has a year ahead of him at LSU. If a TE breaks out this year I believe it will be Smith.

As for the original question my answer would be D. Williams. He might not be the most underrated but, with Fournette in this class of all the highly rated players Williams is the least talked about.

Williams will be the one that takes the field in the fourth quarter and just dominates the opponents "D" and makes them quit.

The question was, who is the MOST underrated signee we have. I like your optimism but you didn't really answer the question.

dude, that's what makes him most under rated. Chark has great film and the staff likes him. He is going to be a big time player at LSU and in the NFL. Predict he becomes a shutdown CB. Looks better than speedy NOil who everyone was drooling over. HIs recruiting reminds me a lot of Claibornes and Tyrann's. Way under the radar guy.

I think its a toss up between Battle and Voorhies...those two are very underated and great long athletes, depends what their demeanor is, if they like the contact, etc...both look very promising. because of our mustang/dime packages we run 60% of the time...its why we need so many DB's especially the 6'2 195-205 lbs guys that can flat our fly and hit...

Battle and Chark and Voorhies are all good candidates.

I'm going with D.J. just because I want to be able to say after big plays, "you serious, Chark?"

Meanwhile, Trey Quinn will clearly be the next Raymond Berry.

I would do with Jacory what Ole Miss did with Treadwell this year...put him in the slot and have him match up with linebackers and safeties all day.

He will be a nightmare coverage wise for those folks and be a nice safety blanket for our young QB.
