GPA 3.8

ACT 16

this doesn't add up, should we pursue him if he can't make the grade in college?

GPAs for top high school athletes mean nothing. Too many times you see 3.5+ gpa guys with horrible act/sat scores.

I dont care how bad a test-taker a guy is, nobody with a 3.8 should be scoring a 16.

I had a friend in High School that had a 1.4 and took the ACT and made a 28. It goes both ways.

But you can't skip classes all the time when your on the football team, which I assume is the reason for that dreadful GPA your friend had.

Not the same. Could mean he was smart and had a lot of common sense, but too lazy to study and keep his grades high.

he has numerous times left to take the ACT again. this is no big deal at all. he may not have taken the ACT as seriously as a jr than he will as a senior. yall need to calm down!
as long as he makes the required score before he graduates is all that matters.

i know i drank a bottle of wine the night before i took the ACT the 1st time my junior year.

Luckily, I avoided it. I have just been around it during my time at LSU, but I definitely plan to raise a family somewhere else.

what would a 16 act score equate to in sat scores...

meaning, if someone took the ACT and got a 16, what do you think the SAT score would be by the same person? ....Comparatively speaking

I had a 3.7 GPA, but sadly, a 1080 SAT.....Not an athlete either.

When I was in school we took the "California Acheivement Test" (CAT) and one other I think. I don't think we had the ACT back then. I had one of the highest scores in Alabama my freshman year in high school (I can hear the "no big deal it was Alabama" jokes ) but my grades sucked. It was too frikkin easy. I was bored and not interested in school is the reason. Girls were so much more interesting.
