That is true, can't disagree with you there.

Seems like he expected to have the program given to him from day one. They are catered to during the recruiting process and then when they realize nothing is given, much work is expected and they are in a competition they don't know how to handle that.

This is what happens when you sign two QBs in one class.

Small fish in a big pond. Maybe he can find a better fit somewhere else.

Why would he leave competition to go to tougher competition? Bama had 5 QBs fighting for the starting gig in the spring. That has been whittled down to a RSSr and a RSFr. They just got 5 star #2 pro style Blake Barnett (who is more like a dual threat) last year, and got a 4 star dual threat this year. Most everybody believes Barnett takes over next year regardless of who starts.

Town is running away from same class #5 dual threat Sam Darnold, top 10 dual threat 4 star Matt Fink (2016), and likely 5 star #1 dual threat Tate Martell (who I think goes to USC). He would be a pro style QB sandwiched between three dual threats. Plus, former 5 star Max Browne will still have two years of eligibility AFTER Kessler leaves.

I think it's a good decision if he is looking at it that way. It's the same reason why Zach Gentry decommitted from Texas. Charlie Strong has said that he wants to run an offense similar to Auburn's. Maybe go to Michigan State and compete for the job next year after Cook leaves. Maybe go to Cal and compete for the job next year after Goff leaves.

ETA: Seems like Florida is a huge option because of Nussmier.
