Loyalty. To who? To what? It is a business. I'm cool with that.

When you have a top 10 recruiting class almost every single year that mean you are pulling in guys that are kick arse and are good enough to see that they have an NFL career in their future. It is just a sign of where LSU has risen too.

I think most, like me, who grew up in the 60's and 70's (I graduated in 75) dreamed of playing for the Tigers and coach Mac. I wasn't remotely good enough but did play in J.C. but would have given my left nut to dress out and the right one, on a deferred payment plan, when it wasn't needed any more...!!!

More than half the class commits as soon as they are able.

I didn't say that there are NO players who dream of playing for LSU. I was referring to those players who grew up LSU fans, are good enough to play for LSU and yet choose to abandon the LSU family to play for other schools.

If you are good enough to play, you will. Now that our coaching issues have been addressed, I see less talent being squandered or dog housed away from Baton Rouge.

You do realize LSU can't give every kid that's good a scholarship.

I suppose you are ok not going after players from Florida Texas, and other states

You are more pleased with those that bleed purple and gold but are less talented. Want to know what that gets you! It gets you beat, a lot

Is it all a business decision these days?

Can you imagine how many kids would love to play for Bama, Ohio St., etc and get rejected? Bottom line is winning- that is why 5 star kids are recruited, not 1 or 2 star kids that dream about playing for LSU or some other high ranked team.

Why do many LSU fans think every Louisiana kid wants to play for LSU and every coach in America wants to be the head coach here?
