especially if D White goes to LB. We are going to need to sign a big time RB or two in next years class. Any in Louisiana? I really like Clyde Edwards-Helaire but he is more of a Darren Sproles type. Maybe White does need to stay at RB.

His main recruiter was Franks though so I am sure that negatively impacts us...

Edwards-Helaire is a stud. We'll be fine at RB with Guice, Brossette, Williams, Ducre, etc. We need White at LB

LSU has never had problems getting a quality runningback from anywhere they want. They run an offense that allows a rb to shine and have a talented o-line plus rbs are a dime a dozen. If you can find a guy that can play in the middle of the defense like White you move him there and worry about rb later. Those guys are a lot harder to find.

.

Guice will probably be in the NFL after two more years and Williams will have graduated. So that is going to leave Brossette and Ducre in 2018 plus whatever freshman we sign in the 2018 class unless we land a big time RB in the 2017 class.

Any chance Bruce Jordan-Swilling plays running back in college? That kid is a nightmare.

White will hopefully be staying at RB, it has always been his stated preference, even though he has said he would be willing to switch to LB.

We are going to need a power RB after Fournette is gone, and we could even use White in certain situation now, like for short yardage situations, and or goal line situations at the very least.

I don't know why people freak out about the middle linebacker situation, Beckwith decided to return, if he goes down that could be a problem, but that's what Layton Garnett is for. I don't care whether he got a scholarship yet or not, the kid has shown he can play.

Kirkland Banks out of Barbe is another freakishly shifty sproles type. Been 5A First Team All-State for the past two years on a young offense where he almost was their offense.

RBs are a dime a dozen. LSU's style of "O" is like a fly to honey. Probably looking to bring in two big time backs in '17 class.

LBs with the potential of white are hard to come by especially in LA.

Williams will do nicely the next two years in short yardage situations.

Seriously, what kind of a fool makes a comment like this?? You use the fact that Layton Garnett was a good linebacker in high school as an argument against him being a good linebacker in college.

That is the exact same argument that I have made about White having proven nothing at the college level as a LB either. Next time you might want to actually think about your statement before running your mouth.
