It's like buying a used car. You have a different perception of value of the car than someone else, no matter how bad you need it. LSU is a big time program and players today know what programs need what positions and it's the Wild Wild West out there. If a player is interested, they will jump in the portal and contact. There is no reason to overpay for something that isn't worth it.

Doesn’t matter. You think we don’t have money that ole miss does?? That narrative is bullshite. Kiffin is doing what’s right for them. Our defensive coaches need to get the frick out of here and never return

I just said they better have a backup plan to grab a comparable player.

2 quick points I've made previously:

1) He may still commit to LSU so we need to wait and see

2) The only reason I thought they might not push hard is he's one and done. Then you are back to breaking in a new starter again. The staff may prefer waiting for a player with multi-year eligibility, but were still entertaining Richardson as an option

Wow, I had heard about this board's meltdown potential but this is absolutely ABSURD! Statements like "they better get someone comparable", "So in others words the kid doesn’t trust this staff", etc, etc, etc. Geez, I follow recruiting a lot and THINK I can evaluate talent but at NO TIME have I placed myself ABOVE LSU coaches, especially Kelly, in evaluating talent, mapping the future of the program via personnel, etc.

I just feel SSSSSOOOO fortunate that SOME here think they are God's gift to football. Express your opinion for sure but to come off like you know more than the LSU coaches is downright ARROGANT and you come off STUPID!I have to assume many of you are troublemaking TROLLS! Some of these comments are getting downright INSANE! There really needs to be an IGNORE feature here! Some of you can IGNORE me and I'll be happy to do the same. Unbelievable!

Yo go cry about it gramps. Ole miss is recruiting better than us while paying their coaches much less. If your ok with mediocrity just say it

They’re doing very well in the portal. They only have 20 HS commits though, and only 8 of those are 4*. It would be Armageddon on this board if that was our HS recruiting class

They’ve got their QB returning and they are swinging for the fences next year.

How did we misuse Perkins

My GUESS is that Perkins was needed in intermediate pass coverage AND Perkins is not going to bull rush anyone. Love Perkins but he is only a dominant pass rusher when no one picks him up OR he can run around a blocker. With LSU's weak pass rush, especially a diminished Smith and injured Mingo, no one on LSU's defensive line had to be double teamed. Thus, Perkins would have had a blocker just waiting for him even on a blitz. I agree with you...Perkins wasn't misused. He simply didn't have the distraction of Ojulari or Gaye to help him out if he rushed the passer.

You probably believe in the gospel of recruiting services, so I will point out for the mathematically challenged that LSU is AHEAD of Ole Miss in their total points in the rankings, the average rating per commit, and has one less verbal (yes, I'm also including the portal commits). Sssssoooo exactly in what universe can you truthfully say that Ole Miss is outrecruiting LSU?
