Plenty of players dont make the jump early because nobody is forcing them to. It's not always the case someone makes the jump early just because they can. McGlothern was elite last year for Ark too, why didnt he go pro? We could go on for days why didnt x player go pro when he was a high level player. Because you choose to stay in college doesnt meant you werent a high level player in your 3rd season.

Again, completely unbiased source (PFF) had him as the #4 graded corner in the SEC this season, that's elite. He's not just some guy with LA origins, he's a very high level SEC starter with many teams banging down his door.

Not to mention he's WAY WAY WAY better than anyone we currently have and there's zero arguing that. Our corner play was pathetic last season overall. People are excited for Zy Alexander like he was anything better than average/above average. That's how low of expectations people got at corner after watching last season, we wish we had him back because essentially everyone else couldnt stick.

I never said he wasn't. But there is also a market-rate for players and he's apparently asking for the "elite" slot. Ole Miss thinks he's worth that and others disagree, including LSU.

That's the world we are in. Whether LSU is wrong on this will depend on how he performs next year, and also who LSU gets in the portal at CB.

Good for him, he's earned that. Dude was one of the best corners in the SEC last season. We'd be absolutely stupid to not entertain that considering that position is a joke right now here, he's from LA. It's an easy match made.

Letting him go to a rival we play would be absolutely dumbfounded stupid when he's an easy match made to play here back home at a HUGE position of need we just lost our only only remaining decent uninjured/unsuspended player to the portal to who finally found something he wasn't bad at (Ryan at corner).

At this point I would guess the speculation is just based off of the fact that he left BR without committing and headed to Oxford. He may still land with the good guys so we'll just have to wait and see.

I don't think Kelly is willing to overpay for anyone unless he thinks they are a game changer. We have 27 commits so only a limited number of portal spots. Maybe he thinks we got burned last season with Denver, Deuce and others. He also stated specifically he wants to build through HS not the portal. If he sees the right player for the right price I think we still make a move.

As teams pick up new commits and transfers there will be more players hitting the portal so the staff is likely trying to be patient for the right player to pop.

Is this been announced or more projected bullshite
