Sumlin's offense has looked pedestrian against Lsu the last two years with a heisman qb and first round wr.

There are 11 other games and a bowl game on their schedule.

Again, I'd like the kid to go to LSU as well.

All I'm saying here is that I can see why kids want to go play for Sumlin and that offense. Kids are going to start heading that way too.

My point is that LSU is in a position that if they missed on a top notch kid from Louisiana, they can land another one elsewhere.

When I watch Johnsons film though, he reminds me of Sammy Watkins, if I had to compare him. Good hands, straight line speed with freaky agility, and all that on a good frame. Johnson is dynamic and would fit in LSUs offense very well. I just hope he gives us a chance.

OK, now go watch other WR's that LSU is in on. They're not chopped meat. ...and if there IS a difference, it won't be so much that there will be an impact in overall success in the programs. (Unless they're Heisman trophy type players, and there's NO WAY of knowing that at this point)

So they pick a school JUST for that? Not for the system they play in? To enjoy their college years? To enjoy their experiences on the field? etc. etc. etc.?

I agree with you on that. There are a few other targets LSU could land that would be great players as well, but Johnson is special. To me, he is better than Speedy because he is more of a pure wideout. I would love to have the kid, but I understand his interest in A&M.

Tyron is by far the best wr in state. I think the number of good wr's in state this year is overhyped. There is more depth but the top talent is down.

Which is exactly why Manziel and Evans might go undrafted right?

I said their END GAME. Yes all of that is a factor, but at the end of the day, all these kids still have that crazy dream of eventually playing NFL ball, more importantly though, making the big bucks.

Don't be so short minded. How long had Sumlin been an OC or HC? How many 1st rounder skill guys has he personally groomed during all that time. Not as many as people lead others to believe.

I like the wide open spread attack using the read option like Auburn did this season. It's hard to defend. Both Jennings and Harris are athletic QB's that can run and pass. They are better passers than Marshall, Auburn's QB. They would really be explosive in that type of offense, but I don't think Miles will let Cameron do anything like that. I felt Jordan Jefferson should have been in that type of offense because it suited his skills better.

And Miles really doesn't like that type of offense from what I garner. Cameron had the offense more open then it's ever been with Mettenberger and Beckham and Landry putting up ridiculous numbers. Then Miles has him change it midway through the season to a more ball control ground and pound attack.

In his 2nd year after taking over a program, he's got 4 possible 1st rounders in this year's draft.

Get tha frick outta here. Anybody with eyes watching LSU games could see that a-hole. Magee, Hill, RB's became more of a factor 2nd half of the season.

Really good film. Hopefully we can work on him. I know he was at LSU's summer camp so we at least have a foot in the door. Maybe another year of sustained offensive success will be enough to convince him he'll get his stats here too.
