not bashing the kid, obviously LSU and TX coaches thought he would be a good addition.
But, i watched the kid play against my hometown team this year - and honestly the kid made no impact. Now, not saying he isnt a great player, but i did witness one game that he laid an egg.

Why would you pick Texas over LSU if you want to be a defensive star? Hope he enjoys watching championships on TV.

Toshiro is just a kid, but this was done in a totally classless manner.
I suspect that at Woodlawn he didn't have a lot of mature guidance.
LSU has had a tough month, but it finished 13-1 and is pre season No. one. Texas, as a troubled program heading in the wrong direction.

If you don't want to go to a school, fine. Do what Denzell Devall did. Express your interest in other schools clearly and commit to your favorite, thereby allowing LSU to recruit other players in your position.
Occupying a seat for the hell of it is the worst thing a recruit can do. He is deliberately fricking over the program he is committed to because other players believe he will be ahead of them on the depth chart.

None of us will ever know what happens behind the scenes, but our coaches and many coaches have done the same or similar to players in recent years.

Who? Our signing day surprises were guys like Sam Montgomery and JR Ferguson who were not committed to anyone and didn't even have clearcut leaders. I suppose you can claim that Copeland was committed to Tennessee, but that was to the Kiffin staff.
The only guy I can think of was Perriloux.
On the other hand, Kiffin did this with Janzen Jackson (although many on the board doubted Janzen's commitment for a long time) and he tried to do the same thing with Justin Hunter until Dooley made him go public.
If this wasn't premeditated, then nothing is.
And it's the epitome of a bitch move no matter who does it.

A lot of this falls on the shoulders of his former coach, Holmes. The guy is a scumbag and orchestrated this whole smokescreen bullshite. He had Davis lying to our coaches as recently as this morning.
