For once in my life, I have confidence in this staff's ability to develop players so I'm not sweating where this class lands

I think we're all getting way too focused on the actual number we'll be in the recruiting rankings.

Look at the class itself. We're not just going after high rated guys so we can get a number next to us in the top 10.

It's actually strategic. Filling up on the areas we have no depth, going after some kids who are projects but have massive upsides after BK develops them.

This is a way different recruiting approach than say, O's who would just try and go after big name kids so we'd keep up in the rankings.

So when you say top 5 class you just mean in your own personal made up rankings?

Your dumb as hell arse read what I said and applied the exact opposite of what I said.

You’re obviously going to say it’s an elite, top 5 class no matter what happens lmao. Weird how that seems to work out, isn’t it? That your favorite teams class just so happens to be way better than anyone realizes, every year no matter what. Surely you’re not just biased. No, it couldn’t possibly be that.

RB, either this guy is an idiot or you’ve allowed one of TideSaint’s alters to come in to sew discord.

We are so far behind UG it's a shame. UG is on another planet with recruiting compared to what we are doing since Coach O left. This I the elephant in the room.

lol the only elephant in this room is us trying to find a nice way to tell you to go find another message board for these "hot takes"

I appreciate the energy that Coach O pumped into the program but how in the hell do you think Brian Kelly is going to be on par with UGA when his 1st season starts with 39 scholarship players? Some of yall need to polish up on your critical thinking skills because it's embarrassing.

Everyone can downvote all they want but I’m not wrong. We’ve got 20 dudes in the boat already and a grand total of one kid from the top 100 (per 247).

Bro do your self a favor and go look at last years top 250 before these kids senior season and then go look at the final one...Every three star we got has potential to be a four outside of the #1 ranked kicker n the class...Some of these guys grew 4 inches and put on 40lbs of muscle this summer...you dont know shite...This staff has hit way more than they have missed. Them top five diva Orgeron classes got us a 500. record n our arse kicked by K-State. No thanks... Mel Diaper rankings boy...

I can't echo this enough. We're used to having freak athletes throughout the locker room and hoping their talent can win us the game.

Now, we actually have a staff that can help players progress to their full potential.

Optimism should be at an all time high.

Why are you even wasting your time with this guy? He sees the star rating and he can't look passed it.

It's like Madden to these people. A player has a rating and that means their skills are set in stone.

Educate yourself and realize that these are all rough assessments. That's all.

Top 5 class is basically impossible at this point. Even if we shoot the moon with both of the big remaining Louisiana kids plus both duncanville kids plus this ole miss flip plus another surprise plus keep every single current commit, that puts our class score at a number that would’ve been like 8th or 9th or 10th last year.

Ship has sailed on a top 5 class. Most likely scenario we land like 12th

I see so many can't see the forest for the trees. Poster is right, a top 5 class isn't going to happen from where we are now. Top 5 classes land top 5 talent/committments early.

LSU is banking on their own evaluations of highly rated but not top 75-100 rated, which is where committments need to come from to build a top 5 class.

I'll give Kelly a pass, but his next 2-3 classes absolutely need to be full of studs, and rated top 1-4 at least two years if he wants to build LSU to the level of Bama, OSU, Clemson, USC (who's coming on fast).

LSU doesn’t need any specific number next to their class rating.

LSU needs to keep the best players in Louisiana home and supplement with east Texas, Florida, and the one offs from Tennessee, maryland, and wherever else we’ve had recent success. But Louisiana and Texas is a proven, winning formula.

As someone who cares about the rankings, I don’t really care about this ranking.

If we can finish strong with 2-3 quality interior defensive players and get a stud RB, this class is as balanced as ever ever had.

Les Miles had top 5 classes with signing 5 WR’s, 2 OL, 2 DL, 8 safeties, 2 CB’s, 2 Kickers and a punter.

This class has 4 stars and several of them at every position grouping.

There's the Pirate King we all know and hate. He's just mad that Eddie Orgeron isn't walking thru that door, because if he were here, Mack, McKinley and Simmons would already be committed, but he'd have also solved climate change and ended world hunger.

Coach O had 3 CBs committed TOTAL from 2020 and 2021 classes. NONE stayed past 2 years whether they played or not. Many of his classes were hot air with no staying power. The best were most of the time, the 3 stars.

We are exactly 5-6 years behind Kirby Smart at Georgia brah. He got the job in 2016. CBK basically got the job in 2022 or very end of 21.

If LSU isn’t recruiting on their level in 4-5 years then worry. We’ve made huge strides already with bad publicity. If we have another huge season, CBK affect might take the nation by storm and start raiding the north, Texas, Cali, the Carolinas and Florida. At least start landing players from those areas regularly. We could also start getting into Georgia for some players.
