Should it? Because he goes to Carencro he doesn't have to earn his spot?

Yeah, this is tough to see. He probably won't get the offer either. I guess that's a call the coaches have to make when you are able to recruit so well nationally. What can I say. This is life. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

even if it is a down year on schollies there are players that have received scholarships i.e. josh williford that aren't real high in their rankings. The kid ran a sub 4.4 forty and obviously did extremely well in ht e1 on 1 drills..it seems to me he deserves an offer..he's an elite athlete.

We are in it for the top players in america and we don't have enough room. Hopefully he goes to Nebraska and plays for Pelini.

Nope, doesn't bother me. Its a tight year.

Hope he gets an offer, or does well at the school of his choice.

"If Johnson performed exactly how he had predicted he would and the coaches were impressed with what they saw then why didn’t the coaches extend him an offer?"

Kenny Bell, Rueben Randle

LSU is looking at 3 WR spots this year.

Bell is pretty much already one.

Spot has to be held for Randle.

Do you take this kid over Debose? Nope. Appleton? Nope. Wooten? Nope.

Now something i would like to know is why Kenny Bell is rated so much higher than him? 6-1/160 versus 6-2/190 with a sub 4.4 forty. I really don't know much about him. Anyone?

if he is as talented as he appears he'll do fine wherever he goes

I am sure he could become a good receiver. But is he better than any of these. Randle,Debose, Bell, Appleton, M. Brown, Bumphis, just to name a few. (NO).If we werent in pretty good with all these prospects then he could have an offer. But if offered we know he commits on the spot. We wont do that until we are more than sure that we have lost out on the above (which is unlikely that we lose all of them). Lets say we only get 2 WR. Well then we have to decide if it is worth taking this kid over a highly touted prospect at another position. Unlikely. He may get an offer late, but he needs a stellar senior season and some other lucky bounces. We will see though, he could be a sleeper. You just never know.

Just because a kid is slightly taller, slighty heavier, and slightly faster doesnt mean he's slightly better. Some kids translate to college better than others.

First, I think youre underestimating Bell here.
Second, I think youre overestimating Johnson.

Their offer sheets should say enough.

I wish one other state school would get all the leftovers that LSU can't take.

I've seen film on Bell and I've played against Johnson. He is going to make some team happy. He is a very explosive athlete.

From the film I watched on him he seemed more like an athlete. You know that kid on the playground that plays every skill position because he is faster than everyone. This kid is really, really fast. Believe that forty time yall. He is seen mostly playing the Option QB role. I never saw him throw it. I only saw him at WR for like 3 passes (Deep Balls of course. He doesnt have great shifty movement, doesnt do many moves. He just flys to the corner, turns it upfield and outruns everyone. A serious problem for HS coaches. He has good vision and great blocking from teammates. Not sure on this recruit, I can see why the coaches want to evaluate more at WR. This is one of those players they would have to watch to see whether or not he has the intangibles to play WR in College.

Some think he's a better basketball player.
Possibly grades?
