Ik baseball is still going but we will have to face the fact that we are losing
Bregman, Kade, foster, hale, Stevenson, Laird, and maybe Chinea. That's nearly the whole fielding group. Which of the Incoming freshman could potential start right away. And or contribute? I don't know baseball recruiting all too well!

The only returning starter in the field will be Fraley. The coaches have been knowing this and have tried to address it. The biggest hole we had to fill is getting a SS. Apparently top SS's didn't want to come sit the bench while Bregman was playing. An incoming SS will have to step up. One turned down 600, 000 dollars from the draft and sounds pretty competitive in an interview. I expect at least 2 of the Delgado transfers to start. Will be all out open competition. The pitching staff will be top notch.

Wasn't Greg Deichmann a pretty promising middle infield recruit?

C-Papierski
1B-Adams
MIF-Bryd, Deichmann, Robertson, Dawson, Lochridge, Freeman
3B-Bryce Jordan, Zardon, or anyone above
OF-Fraley, Beau Jordan, Ducote

That's a rough guess of what I think it may end up looking like. Pitching will be fine, and for the most part look extremely similar to this year while adding Latz and McKay two top 100 players in their respective classes.

Yes, Deichmann was one of the top middle infielders in his class, he'll be fine he's had to overcome injuries and is still a freshman. He'll work out of his funk.

I said this before IMO I believe the Dawson kid starts from day one at SS. As close to another Bregman as you can get. Leave Byrd at 2B to battle Freeman (Delgado) Reid or Deichman. Maybe Deichman will battle it out at 3B with Zardon. I see Adams (Delgado) at 1B with Cody Ducote (Delgado) at one of the open OF spots. Question: I don't know what they do with the Jordan brothers, I really don't think they have the OF speed that we've been use to over the last 3 years. Unless there ripping the cover off the ball then you find them a spot even DH. Hope Deichman comes back healthy and improved from summer ball, this past year was a wash for him. He has the talent. Be interesting to see how coach Andy handles this group.

Hope Duplantis OF can be a singles/gap hitter as you can't teach speed.

Pitching will have to carry early

The offense will depend a lot on the sophomore class and how quickly they will develop, summer ball huge for them.

The incoming class has enough mix of fr and juco to provide the rest of the lineup

With Lange, Latz, Poche, McKay and a couple others, we may only need to score 1 run.

Duplantis could be Stevenson 2.0 but with a little more pop in his bat.

They're going to give us spot starts in the INF and OF respectively and get some DH starts as well. I could see either or both working into starting roles by their junior year. But they're also going to be good program guys and the type of local kids that aren't as heralded but come up with big plays when we need it.

Next years lineups won't be nearly as consistant as this year as far as positions go. Unless someone was hurt the only changes CPM would make is switching zardon and sciambra, or sometimes pap for kade. Next year with everything so wide open the position battles will probably go into the middle of the season or later.

Pitching will be filthy next year. Lange, Poche, Latz and more.

I think that will soften the blow of losing all those fielders. Hopefully the offense is still solid next year.

It will be interesting to see what the '16 class will look like with a full recruiting year under coach Andy.

A defensive speedy CF with a strong arm is a commodity in the BBCOR era, hopefully we can get one.
