Nicky Savoie. QB recruit. Thats crazy he got drafted as a tight end and actually caught a pass for the saints in the NFL.

The Joe McKnight meltdown on TD was legendary, and taught me to never hang my emotions on the decisions or actions of 18 year old kids.

Tiger Rag was the most current source (weekly) and even then I had to wait until my buddy finished it and brought it to class (at LSUA). With the advent of the internet, Dandy Don got me following it every day.

same experience I had...basically had a week delay on all news in order to see it come out in the tiger rag..I used to check the mailbox incessantly while waiting for that thing to come in...

dandy don was the first "real time" way to follow recruiting...still amazes me that he could gather so much info at a time when info was not easy to come by....

Probably Jamie Howard and that class because I had friends who played with him at St. Thomas More. First time I cared about recruiting. Growing up I was always under the impression that LSU got who they wanted.

Had to look up the year, but the 1997 class with Rohan Davey, Tommy Banks, Ryan Clark, and Jarvis and Jason Green.

I remember sitting in class with an ear bud in my ear listening to all day radio coverage. I remember thinking that Craig Nall was gonna be our future over Davey.
