He's the son of Randy Moss. Keep an eye out for him.

Is he someone Canada may know from his recruiting days at NC State, prior to Pittsburg?

Is LSU showing interest?

Canada was at NC State before Pitt, that's the connection. He's at LSU this entire weekend on an OV.

Randy Moss is going to be our 10th coach later on this year.

So now we are excited about 3* transfer TEs from a weak acc team?

yes

Especially when his genes come from one of the most athletic freaks in the history of football

So we should have signed magic Johnson's son?

His dad is such a freak, the kid had very few (if any) big time offers.

Just asking what the big deal is, not saying he sucks or is great.
Randy was absolutely a freak...he was also about 180 in college. And that's being generous. Dude was hard, I doubt if his son bore the same struggles that shaped Randy.

If he plays like Moss then great, but very few sons match the dad or exceed them. I guess we can expect to see Randy Moss on the sidelines now, but his son is built like an H Back I think. Shorter than him at 6'3" but much heavier at 240 pounds. Canada was recruiting him when he was coaching at Pitt, so Canada is def why he is there.

This is a really good pick up. Still expecting them to get Beal for the 2018 class too.

Does he count towards 2017 or 2018?

There's the possibility he is used as "flex". Not quite big enough for a traditional (Les) TE, aka extra tackle, but not quite fast enough for a WR role. H-back / Flanker type role. Which Canada loves to have in his arsenal.

I was hoping that was the case! Of course he has to sit out the year, but counting against 2017 is just fine. Would bring the 2017 total to 25.

Disagree with this, happens all the time. Now when you are talking about all time greats, yea pretty hard to do. Most sons aren't going to match that.

He's leaving NC State because he's burried in the depth chart. I think he was 4th on the spring depth chart at TE and the true freshman who's 5th may have out-performed him in the spring.....

He has an injured shoulder, so he didn't practice in the spring.

Not what I read/heard. They had 1 hybrid guy in front of him and 1 blocking TE. Heard they are changing their offense. Canada was the guy that recruited him to NC St for his offense. Moss is essentially following Canada to LSU.
