I would love to have a killer class in the Top 3-5. We are going to recruit well and already have considering we have a 7 rank with 7 open slots remaining

I am not worried at all about D because Aranda is a master DC and we already have a Top 5-10 D without a single recruit.

Offensively we have the #1 recruit in OC Canada. He will do very well with the talent we are giving him and the key will be how that translates into next year's recruiting class.

With our staff solidified, what we do on the field in 2017 will establish the future direction of LSU football. If we show significant improvement, recruiting will be much less stressful going forward and the future classes will be rock solid.

And if they go 7-5 or 8-4 next year? Is that an appropriate time to panic?

We got the number 4 class right now according to ESPN and the ESPN rankings are what the country sees so that's a plus I guess.. good exposure at least. Could jump in the top 3 on signing day if things go well.

I'd rather proactively panic than think everything is going to be fine and dandy. That's why the program is in its current state.

At this point, the staff should keep a couple of spots available and have open tryouts for linebackers!

Great post. You aren't suppose to say anything negative.
Keep pushing the panic back does nothing but set program back.

I swear some of you would rather be right than cheer for what would be the more ideal outcome for the school you proclaim to care about.

This Recruiting Class will not have much bearing on the upcoming Football Season. Maybe some of the EE's may help out! I thought next year will be a better Recruiting Year since the entire Staff will have more time to Recruit.

I'm just trying to add some logic to the original post. The premise is if the team shows improvement this year, recruiting will be fine in the future and thus we should take a deep breath. It almost ignores the possibility that the team might not improve. I hope they improve, I actually think they do. But you can't just ignore the possibility they don't improve like it's impossible.

Not worrying at all about the D is just irrational. They lose lots of key contributors. They almost undoubtedly will take a slight step back on that end.

It's about filling needs and O and co. have left a lot to be desired with the LB's. People who say everything is ok remind me of the people who buried their heads in the sand when Chavis was here.

If you told me we'd keep a top 5 class after a coaching change, there isn't one fanbase in America who'd turn that down.

Newsflash... Moses was never coming AND CEO is in the mix to end up landing a great LB class anyway.

Trying to rag on CEO's recruiting at this point just makes me think that you are either trolling or agenda driven.
