No hate here. Posted this many times on this board last year. I referred to him as the next Adam Mconathy or whatever his name is from West Monroe in the late 90s. Kid has very little lateral movement. Straight on, he can lay the wood. Ball carrier wiggles just a hair and it’s a swing /miss. Like a guy smoking a fastball, but can’t touch the curve. He is so stiff it’s crazy. He should bulk up more to play DE where he only goes up the field or lateral in one direction. He can’t play LB at the P 5 level. Never could. I still can’t figure out why college coaches can’t properly assess a player’s skills. Obvious this kid had zero lateral movement from jump.

Unless you have someone leave, you already have 4 guys on the roster today and more on the way for 2 ILB positions and Perkins as your SAM (assuming a new DC keeps him in that role). If they bring in a more experienced guy via the portal to try and upgrade over what Penn gives you, then it’s hard to bring in more.
Keep in mind that we no longer have a roster numbers shortage. Without processing or multiple players leaving, it may be difficult to prioritize LB in the portal this cycle. The staff may decide to just roll with what we have there and look for development under a new defensive staff. DT and a lock starter at CB to go with Johnson, Alexander and the younger guys seem to be the biggest priorities on defense.

First, he doesn't want to play at LSU. He made that abundantly clear during the recruiting process when he and his family made every excuse under the sun to not come to LSU.
I also think BK should make an example out of someone. If you're from LA and don't come to LSU out of highschool, you can't just automatically come back here and be welcomed with open arms. It sets a bad precedent if we start letting kids do that consistently.

So all of the other LA kids that everyone has been so excited to get out of the portal... they're not welcome at LSU either?
You're allowing your emotions towards TC to get in the way of reason.
If he's a fit and there's a desire on both sides, then yeah absolutely I'd take him. But does that exist? Not sure, and personally I don't think so given the personnel we have at LB now... (Perk, Penn, Whit, West, Brathwaite and all the incoming guys)
