His uncle was the coach and basically let him play safety and his only responsibility was running downhill and hitting a 2A running back after getting a full head of steam.

Weeks looked more all around explosive and didn't look stiff. Next year with a better coach the trio of Penn, Perkins, and Weeks will be the best in the country.

Why would a LB from Louisiana choose to play in the PAC12 for a Head Coach like Lincoln Riley??
It’s not like Riley’s known for his stellar defenses, we all remember the 2019 Peach Bowl, LOL. His biggest weakness @OU was his inability to field a decent defense to go with his potent offensive scheme - Hmm that Sounds vaguely familiar, dont it!!

I said it on this forum last year and I'll say it again/ watching the film I think Weeks is the better player. We could use help though so if he wants to come home I say we welcome him with open arms but he seems like the type of kid that will end up at Texas before lsu

I don’t think the portal is open yet except if the head coach has been fired. Kids at those programs can enter immediately

I don't hate the kid for choosing to go elsewhere. He never strung LSU along.
The issue was the Tackett supporters/family that thought it was appropriate to poke LSU for not somehow forcing the kid to choose LSU.
He's a true Fr that started over more experienced LBs at USC and from what I've read has had mixed results. He's struggled in coverage and taken bad angles tackling, but has shown flashes of ability. I haven't seen anything about him being in the portal, but if he is and Kelly wants him, fine. If not, that's fine too.
