Right. It's not like Nevin's still over there paying you.

Isn't Miami about to get smoked with sanctions?

I hope the best for this kid. I don't like the negative attitude his commit is getting, but I get it. He has definitely had an "anybody but LSU" approach to his recruitment. But again good luck to him, easier to pull for an LA kid that you don't ever have to play.

Uh, I think you are reading this all wrong. Miami is about to get severly smoked with sanctions. Hookers and blow-type stuff...Not good, not at all. This ain't a sour-grapes thread.

Good riddance. In the other thread I told TTowel to watch out for Miami but never expected him to commit this early. If I'm a recruit I don't commit to Miami until the NCAA speaks. They are going to get hammered. The question is how bad. I think just slightly harder than OSU from a bowl and scholarship standpoint but not USC level. Hard to guage with the NCAA though. USC got too harsh a punishment, OSU didn't get hit hard enough and Boise got off very easy for program wide violations. It's almost funny how inconsistent they are.

With Dobard's comments about the games I can't wish him good luck. Not a fan of kids like that at all. Doesn't mean the kid is a bad person or even close but I can't overlook things like those comments in recruiting. Where do these kids get their home training from?

Honestly, he will fade away at that program. They are in rough shape for the next 5-10 years. The best thing they can do is ride out the rough times with Golden and hope they can start coming back in the 2020s.

Seems like Dobard just wanted the story of a surprise. I hope it works out for him, but tbh, this was not a very good move.

Curious to see if he will be eligible. In 2005 he was in 7th grade, he was on the same team with Anthony Johnson & Matthew Bailey.

That would probably, at the least, make him 19 at some point this year.

History of great tight ends there south beach beautiful women and a great program. Good for the kid hope he thrives. We have 2 tightends on our radar better then him in my opinion.

TEs at LSU aren't doing anything lately. They are realy only blocking smaller Olineman. No big deal.

I actually think he handled it pretty well. Obviously the games thing was uncalled for but he could have made that comment on signing day, after the staff wasted much more time and effort.

Of course Ensminger would want the guy who will be just another OT in the end.

Smart kid...
Looks like he just "gamed" himself into obscurity and irrelevance

Look, this isn't the kid that LSU wants, and he knows that therefore the comments. He's just trying to get his 5 minutes of fame.

He's trying to justify his decision to himself, and that's what most of us do when we make a big decision. If he indeed wants to be a Jimmy Graham type, that would mean no one will have heard about him by the time he leaves college. My goals would be higher than that, I'd want to be heard about.

The recruiting game is brutal. With social media, now it gets played out real time. He's got a chip on his shoulder, and he wants to show LSU they should have gone after him harder. I'd expect that from any recruit.

But I fully agree, the U "ain't what it used to be" and are about to get hammered into oblivion with sanctions.
