Did he really say he just wanted to play games? Wow, if true then I'm glad he's going there if that's the attitude for real. LC light. At least we know now though.

It's better to commit now than later if you were just wanting to play games. I just can't believe he actually said that. I would actually be nervous if I were Miami after reading these comments.

I think we do get DeSean Smith. I really liked our chances with Mike Heuerman, but I've read he had an awesome visit to Notre Dame this past weekend & they lead. We should find out soon.

Good for him.

I'd feel differently if it was Smith.

no top quality te is going to want to play second fiddle to smith. we may get one or have to dig deeper and deeper to get 2. I think the same thing will ultimately happen with the quarterback situation.

Curious to see if he will be eligible. In 2005 he was in 7th grade, he was on the same team with Anthony Johnson & Matthew Bailey.

Wow. Have fun wallering in mediocrity.

He would have been better off at Auburn or UGA, but at least he's not somewhere he can hurt LSU and we dont have to listen to the idiot Aubies claim they can recruit Lousiana

I dont think Bama wanted him, but even if they did, they wouldnt have gotten him. Kids obvisouly got some infatuation with the U.

He was born a few years too late though. Hopefully we land Mike Heurman along with Desean Smith. I think Mike is supposed to announce within a month or so.

Him going to Miami is no surprise. He has made it clear he wanted to be "the tight end" in his class and was highly likely to leave the state.

Get Smith and a blocking tight end and we are good.

He was a distant 4th on my list of TE wants. I like Smith, Bridgewater, and Heuerman better due to a need for a TE that can catch and are pass oriented TEs. We have young guys like Edwards, Dickson and Jacobs that can block. Add in the Curtis kid, who is big, and from what I hear of how he did in basketball, is a good athlete and X factor in all of this. If Thomas is going to be ready out of Juco in a few, we may only NEED 2 in this class.
Not a big loss, or most likely not a loss at all, but I do wish him well as I do all La boys that handle things the right way

I hope the best for this kid. I don't like the negative attitude his commit is getting, but I get it. He has definitely had an "anybody but LSU" approach to his recruitment.

But again good luck to him, easier to pull for an LA kid that you don't ever have to play.
