We are stacked with national recruiters. If a LA player wants to go somewhere else, we will find top talent elsewhere. In some past times we HAD to have almost all of the top instate players. Now we can get top players out of state if we need to.

Especially SE Texas/Houston with Peveto's contacts and Raymond in South Florida.

Tbird changed his tune when two top 20 players debuted in the 2019 rankings.

Don't really agree with the OP but this is just ignorant. Amite has like 2 other SEC level guys that are young. I think the '19 DT is really highly ranked (saw on Twitter). As somebody that used to be in the high school coaching profession those North Tangi teams are highly respected and put out really good players. Kentwood, Amite, and Independence always fielded good teams and sent kids to play college ball. Pounchatoula was a door mat until the minority majority transfers starting helping y'all out so don't be so quick to just give up on kids who could help LSU.

other than Hookfin, Ricard & Toefield I can't think of anyone else to play major college football from these schools in the last 15 years

Notice I said college ball and not major college ball although if memory serves a few others went to higher level schools.

Mitchell went to Arky.
Dalton went to I think ULM.
Morgan went to ULM then to NFL a time.
Baker went to La Tech and was 1st team in that conference.
Perry went to Ole Miss but didn't make the cut.
Johnson went to LSU then transferred to SLU.
Miller to SLU the drafted by Arizona Cardinals.
Brown brothers Mcneese then short stints in NFL.
Franklin went to Mcneese.
Hart went to central Arky.
Porter is currently at Utah(starting corner)
Deamer went to Northwestern

Those are just off top of my head. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch. I'll text my buddy that is plugged in up there and see if I missed anybody major.

The reason so few players from these school go anywhere is because few can even spell their own names.

I didn't say anything about Ponchatoula. It's debatable if the court ruling helped Ponchy. My point is kentwood, and Amite are terrible schools and don't prepare these kids for college. It has nothing to do with talent level.

You and I had the conversation when Shyheim originally committed to BAMA! You were convinced he wouldn't qualify, DID HE? EVERY kid that was talented enough to play college ball, has never had a problem qualifying! Perception is not reality, you continuing to say it, doesn't make it fact!

That's just untrue. A good number of the ones I named had great careers in college. Do agree the schools themselves don't prepare them academically. They are bad schools.
