They're in a down time for recruiting until January. Maybe the 15th or so. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. At least until January 5th, at least, the coaches can not contact the recruits. I don't think we'll get much news, unless a recruit makes a voluntary announcement on his own, but,It'll all be after Christmas.

Quiet period The quiet period tightens things a bit more, preventing any off-campus contact or viewing. Visits to the college's campus and written or electronic communications are still permitted. Coaches often try to have prospects visit campus unofficially during this time in the spring and early summer, so that they can become familiar with campus.
Dead period The dead period is the most restrictive. No in-person contact is allowed, even if a prospect makes a visit to the college campus. Written and electronic communications are still permitted. And yet, prospects still do decide to commit to schools in late December and early January, often because they've considered all their options, taken all their visits, and are ready to pull the trigger.

yeah i think we fuggged for this year....we may pick up a 3* similar like we did last year with McMilan. Dont expect a BOOM at QB though. Next year tho.....

All that mean is we will sign a qb. The rant is so beat down by our recent qb's that they prey for one that is 'servicable' and no longer even hope for an elite QB. Despite the QB being the most important part of the offense. Hell the rant rejoices when we are looking for a reject from ANY school.

The staff is on several QBs who have interest but it's being quiet because they're all committed to other schools. No reason to give the competition reason to worry. Yes, Cam visited some of these guys while the only word out there was he was only talking to Franks. The picture will get much clearer in January when visits are allowed. LSU will sign a QB in this class one way or the other.
