you guys are making too much of this hootie thing. yes, we want the best players but take a look at who is playing for the sec championship this year. Missouri has not had a top 10 recruiting class the last 5 years. Auburn has not had a top 5 class the last 5 years and has been top 10 only twice.

bama LUCK ran out this year. last year they would not have been in nc game if ohio state was not on that stupid probation and the previous year okie state missed a chip shot field goal an the weekend of the plane crash that killed some nof football athletes. they could easily have missed out on one or both of those nc games.

the year isn't over. The REC is probably in Tallahassee right now wining and dining the hell out of the DA's office to bust Winston before the game this weekend...

It is just perception by the recruits. they think they will have better chance of NFL with Saban as coach. What no one realizes is that since Saban started at Bama, there have been 72 draft choices combined between LSu and Bama. LSU has had 39 draftees to 33 for Saban coached Bama players!!

This had very little to do with anything LSU did "wrong" and more that he wanted to leave the state

So, it was a lie that LSU didn't recruit him had enough.
