he seems fairly raw to me... he clearly has a ton of potential though and a very high ceiling.

They had him playing every single snap on both sides of the ball, but you didn't hear his name much because the QB #6 was throwing from the shotgun for most of the game

had 10 carries for 45 yards or so

Wow, makes zero sense. Why do you give him the ball 30-40 times a game to get you to the Dome, then not give him anything once you make it? Why do coaches keep changing what they do once they get to the big game? I think a lot of coaches overthink things and end up costing themselves victories in attempts to outsmart the other coach.

That would piss me off if I was him. Senior year, make it to the big game, and your coach pulls away from what works and you barely get a 1/3 of the touches you usually get.

I don't know if he was hurt, but their QB threw for over 300 yards.

No lost 24-20 after leading 20-17 at the half. ZERO points in the second half and your best player being used as a decoy will get your arse in hot water as a coach.

SHould we add him to the hot seat on the CC Board?

very unimpressive performance when he had ball in his hands. first time to watch him and i was shocked after the hype that i heard. not much authority hitting the hole.

Parkview did have 4 ints. Brooks Godbery had 2.
Parkview did key on Hilliard. In the first half they did a lot of things with other players, knowing about the keys on Hilliard. The second half, Patterson game plan changed. They were mixing and matching in the first half.

Both teams are young, lots of talent on both teams.
Patterson has a couple kids:
#26 WR is in the 10th. grade and is 6'4" 210#'s and should be a good one by his Sr. year.
#23 WR/SS is another one, a Jr. that will also be a good one in a year.

Both teams should make a run again for the dome next year.

How old are these 2 kids you are talking about? With some of the huge kids they are over age and have no chance of making the grades for anything but Juco. Not in all cases but in public high schools in Louisiana you see alot of overage kids.

No one can be 19 before September 1st, so what do you mean overage?

BTW I was 17 my entire senior football season.

I am from the Patterson area and that has always been my complaint with them. They run out the shotgun and even when they do give Kenny the ball he is standing still and has to get going. They also run a hurry up type offense and never huddle. In my opinion they should have always tried to slow the game down and ran Kenny out the eye so he could be running downhill when he receives the handoff. Patterson would have been very hard to beat if they would have just slowed down and controled the game.

In some cases? Do you know the age of these kids? Didn't think so.

If they do have to go to JC, they will still be good players. Even at the JC level.

Given the context, I think he is asking if this guy is age appropriate for his class:
quote:

#26 WR is in the 10th. grade and is 6'4" 210#'s and should be a good one by his Sr. year.

If he were say 18 now, he would be overage.
