I could be wrong, but I really haven't seen any RB's in this class who stand out from the other's. There's, 10 or 15 that I've seen highlight's of and they all bring something to the table but nothing that separates them from the pack. Of the one's I've seen I think Curry is a better all around back, Joiner has some attributes, but not enough for me to put him ahead of Curry, IMO. That being said, with Canada's offense, LSU needs some fast big receiver's who can and love to run the ball. As far as I'm concerned, I don't give a rat's tush what position gets the yardage, as long as someone is getting it. That was one thing that perturbed me with Miles telling his QB's not to run the ball. Anyway, regardless, LSU needs some rb's, and Joiner is a bull who can run over some people.

I agree with all of this.

Would rather have Emmons.

I like Curry more than Joiner also.

What about after this year? O apparently thinks there is a big drop off after Guice and Williams.

Trey Quinn was Louisiana's all time leading receiver, and he could not crack the top four at LSU.

What are you trying to say here???

From Quinn’s LSUsports.net official bio:
quote:

Started at the X receiver in seven of 13 games ...

As a TRUE FRESHMAN he had zero problems breaking the “top four at LSU”. His problem was catching the ball under pressure (Bama game) and holding his spot in the top four as a result.

I agree. Every time I go look at film of Curry, I see something I didn't pick up on the time before. He is much quicker through the hole than he looks, his power running over people is underrated, his agility is deceptive and so is his top end speed. I may end up eating my words, but I believe he will be another great back in LSU's long history of great running back's.

His problem was DROPPING the ball that probably would have been the play to win the game... (Bama game)
and everyone loosing confidence in him as a result, maybe himself included.

I like Curry... alot.

The phrase that comes to mind every time I've seen video is "complete package". I'm no talent scout, but when you see somebody that does everything well you can't help but notice.

Did y'all see he has the eye of the tiger tattooed on his forearm? I'll try and find the pic.

Edit, found it:

He's the best all around back I've seen in this class. I'd agree, he does have the complete package.

I want Curry in the 2018 class just as much as everyone else. He's an immediate impact in a position of need. Unfortunately I don't put stock into tattoos, only signatures on the LOI

Prime example

Agreed, getting Curry and Joiner both signed, sealed and delivered next Feb would be HUGE for the program.

I'd be very happy with this

We shouldn’t have put ourselves in this position. It’s embarrassing considering how many RB we have put in the league this last 12 years

I think this is a step down in RB talent from what LSU is accustomed to over the last 15 yrs or so...

I was hoping to see NB more when guice was hurt earlier in the year....but his fumble against troy on the first carry sealed his fate to the bench.
