How can our new commit be rated 5 star on 247 but only a 3 star on Rivals. something just does not seem right .Any thoughts on this

You asked a good question which I believe Duckie answered in the middle of some thread. His theory was that Rivals takes into account the risk of him not being qualified. I think it is more just a difference or opinion or IMO more likely, I believe this guy hasn't been playing football that long. We both know with limited experience on a player, that makes it hard for judgment.

I'm INTERESTED IN the answer to that question as well if anyone has any ideas about it. Deserves it's own thread instead of just reading 16 pages of dancing bananas. Why would Rivals rate him so low and 247 so high? Why the disparity?

It happens. Remember T White the SO CB at LSU when he came out of HS? While everyone else had him rated 5*, ESPN magnanimously raised him to like the 247th player in the country on their last revision. This stuff happens a lot.
