Maybe they see something with that reclassified 2026 recruit, Julien Lewis, that makes them think he is the better prospect, IDK. I did an article where they were comparing him to Trevor Lawrence. Still I think we are good with Underwood.

Rivals is currently undergoing therapy for future 5 star rankings with Saban retiring. They are looking for suitors as we speak.

Laughable. Reading about him a little bit, his new ranking is about 50% hype and 50% on field talent. Not surprising that ESPN and Rivals would have him #1. While On3 and 247 have him as Top 15 player but aren't close to crowning him as the no doubt #1 player in 2025.

My favorite part of this whining is that there's precisely zero chance that you have scouted both of these kids to the point of having an informed opinion as to who's the better prospect.
Imagine that: Bitching that the rankings are wrong without even having an informed opinion about the rankings in question. This board has gotta be the funniest place on earth.

When Hurley reclassed from 2025 to 2024 they dropped him from a 5 star to a 3 star.

Seems more likely that it's a case where a service hypes a kid up since he's been in 8th grade and doubles down even though he is probably peaking already. Dylan Moses 2.0.
Comparing Lewis at 6'0.5" 185 and above average arm strength (elite accuracy) to 6'6" 220 Lawrence who had elite arm strength and accuracy is poor scouting.
