So is size everything when in comes to the Wide Receiver position or would a 6 feet guy be better suited if he was more aggressive and had better hands and speed? just asking

Give me a 3/4 star sleeper over a 5 star "big head" anytime.

We won't get either player so what was your point?

His size alone is something that LSU needs in a WR. Why you don't think LSU is in play for Tony Brown is interesting though. Do tell.

I'll take RSJ any day over Parker. What does anyone really know about Parker aside from what we heard during our camp? It's not like there's a whole lot of film out their to view. If I remember correctly he was having all kinds of trouble catching the ball in our camp. I think both are takeable kids but to say Parker, with virtually no real film and questionable hands, is a better wr than RSJ, who has virtually no film as a wr, is baseless. Both need coaching and both have many aspects that need to be improved on. My take is this, RSJ is bigger, similarly fast, a better athlete and has more versatility than Parker. If Parker busts as a wr, where else can he play? RSJ could play TE or DE along with possibly playing wr. RSJ is the better prospect overall. As pure wr prospects, who knows, but I'll take RSJ every time if I had to choose because of his overall value as a prospect. All that said, I feel RSJ vastly underperformed this weekend and can understand why some may not be high on him as a pure wr. I think he's TE down the line and always have for the most part. No staff is going to tell him that though.

Versatile? Yes...But the question is will he welcome the idea of playing TE. He was quoted as saying "I can not block defensive ends." RSJ wants no part of playing TE or any other position in college. He said at the Rivals Challenge that he is out here to prove he's a wr (paraphrasing). I'm not sure if you were referencing to me about KP being better than RSJ. I'm just disappointed in what i saw as far as him not attacking the ball the way a wr should when he has that type of height advantage. I agree with you saying he would eventually be more effective at the TE position down the line but if his mindset is totally against it then this just becomes a wasted scholly.

Yes he did have multiple 45 yard TD Rec. on sunday. However, those TD's were all against zone coverage where the safeties just lost track of him.
You mean like what 95% of college defenses run?

Wasn't aimed at anyone in particular.

I agree about the mentality part but have the feeling he'll change his tune once he's on campus and realizes he can't cut it at WR(if that happens to be the case). He'll have 3 choices, move to TE and play, stay at WR and never play or transfer to play wr and become someone that people ask "what ever happened to.." in 10 years. We've got a couple of kids we're recruiting currently that will also go through this decision process about changing positions down the line.

Agree about the zone post. That's what TEs are for. Zone busters. Bama zoned the hell out of us last year, particulary the bracket coverages in the 1st game.
